After my first 100 days back east from 11 years in Califrickinfornia, I still sometimes glance at the clock and adjust the hours with adjustments not necessary....or accurate.

Point is, neither of these teams had players who wanted to be in meaningless games as extra innings went on as even 11PM approached. I think there are still a few fun things for players to do in The Cleveland Night.

At least that's what was written by Marla Ridenour about Joe Haden last week.

They need to go out, have a good time, blow off steam....not catch crabs.....not get cited with an unlicensed gun.......not chase kids in an SUV......and just come out to the ballpark and play the game tomorrow.

Oh wait, I guess I am more confused on time zone stuff as I see President Barack Obama is on Letterman and I know that in my very very active business traveling days from Seattle to Nova Scotia and many points South I could and would have found time to meet with the leader of another country that is our friend, if that friend called me out for a meeting.

I like Letterman still, much less than his early years, but I would have put him off for the meeting with a key United States friend.

To bring this back to baseball, I'll be voting for Connie Mack in Florida.

Connie Mack has the most wins of any Manager in MLB history. Generations aside.

Actually rethinking I think next year is lost anyway so let LaPorta start with the team and play him until he comes around or embarrasses himself off the club after 50 or so games.

For I am sure we would not get much back in a trade.

Of course we could try LARS!

Sure was excited to see Hafner back in the lineup. He is the future of the Tribe. Need to get him some Sept at bats. Highlights of his night were trying for some reason to score from third on a ground ball to 3rd base (teach the young guys to be aggressive runners) and fanning with tying runs on base.

And I enjoyed this Acta quote about why he's bothering putting Pronk in the lineup:

“The medical staff recommended that he’s going to play three times a week,” Tribe manager Manny Acta said. “He’s not going to play [Thursday].”

After a pause, Acta continued.

“And to answer the second question, before anybody asks it: We’re a better team when Hafner’s in the lineup. Hafner’s been here for a long time, and if he’s ready to play, he deserves to play. Plus, he’s not going to be taking away any at-bats from the guys we really need to see — just in case any of you guys had any doubt in your head as to why we would be ‘wasting’ at-bats with Hafner when we have other guys to see here.”

He deserves to play? I deserve to watch a major league baseball team. The good thing is the Indians season only lasts into July so sportstalks hosts can get on to the browns who get covered 24/7 by cleveland based media no matter how bad they are. An entire generation of lost Indians fans exist. Thanks dolan-get out of town.
