One doctor friend [who has not seen the xray] suggests that Bauer's stress fracture could sideline him for the season.
Of course he is a Yankee fan so would be happy if that's true.

Since these waivers are revocable, no harm in listing him. Can give you an idea of how many teams are interested. If not trade bait now, perhaps in the off season.

Ah, you need help with your math too. Not shocking. You are just like JoeZ. As big of a tool as you are a troll. Which in both your cases is really saying something. Also I find you to be a hateful grumpy little person, and when I get no edification from reading someones thoughts there's really no need to continue. But before I block you as I have Joe, I'll try one last time to educate you.
Francisco Lindor - .394 career minor league slugging percentage.
Jose Ramirez - .411 career minor league SLG%
Yandy - .414 career minor league SLG%.
Small sample size, but he has a 700 SLG% in his limited time in majors this year too.
Granted, Frankie is 2 years younger and Jose 1 year younger. They were both lucky enough to have jobs available to take when ready. But no reason Yandy (who also has biceps the size of Lindor's head) wouldn't improve power numbers with experience as well. Lord know the LF wall in Cincy still has a dent on it from that laser he hit off it last night. And he has not got out much this year, but at least a few of his outs were hard hit line drives that were caught by RF'er. One at the wall on a full run.
He has sprayed hard line drives all over the field this year, and in his entire time in the minors. Last year he was brought up for a short time and was in a slump, and he grounded out for a few days straight. You seem to think that's all he's got, and that is terribly misinformed. But I've found from talking to you on a myriad of topics that is the story of your miserable life.
All that said, as I've said before, Yandy should indeed be trade bait. No spot for him here and he deserves to be playing every day somewhere.
I hope your post was tongue-in cheek and are not in the Trump name calling mode because someone says something you disagree with.
Calling Yandy a popcorn hitter is my way of pointing out his offensive weakness. Maybe he gets better, maybe he doesn't.
If you can't read anything you don't like, block me or ignore what I say, but don't call me names or comment on my life.

I'm pretty sure it is a fracture that will heal in 3 to 4 weeks.
It will just be a matter of how long it till take before he can push off with that right leg with no pain. I'd be shocked if he weren't back before playoffs. But never know with our crack medical staff.
Tribe says he will still be able to throw some and keep his arm in shape during down time.

I had a chipped bone in my foot back in the day. I know this is different but - it was stay off it a few days then back to normal within 2 weeks.
I do believe it has to do with the degree of the fracture. As in small or large.
The fact that an X ray didn't even pick it up is cause for optimism.

A lot of it depends on person too. Some are quicker healing than others.
But I'm not worried about him getting back and getting a start or two before playoffs.

We sure know that Bauer will be eager to get out there and pitch; and the medical people will have to hold him back a bit.

Encarnacion should be back when his 10 days are over. The Indians have not set a timetable on Bauer's return, but the remainder of the regular season, and perhaps the postseason, could be in jeopardy.
There was good news when the Chris Antonetti, president of baseball operations, said Monday that outfielder Leonys Martin showed signs of recovery from a life-threatening bacterial infection. From a baseball standpoint, however, it's unlikely Martin will play again this season, which leaves the Indians with a hole in center field.

Indians manager Terry Francona said Friday that Trevor Bauer (leg) could return to game action in 4-6 weeks.

and he added something to the effect that they are going to have to fight Trevor from trying to get back out there too early

My biggest worry is Bauer altering his mechanics to compensate. Happens to many athletes who try to mitigate injuries. It is said that baseball is a game of inches. Sometimes it's a lot less than that.

Tigers designated RHP Zach McAllister for assignment.
Being DFA'd by one of the league's worst teams completes a precipitous fall for the reliever, who not long ago was pitching in high-leverage situations for the playoff-staple Indians.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Logan Forsythe has cleared revocable waivers.
It's no surprise given his $8.5 million salary. Forsythe has been red-hot at the plate since joining the Twins with a .379/.429/.448 batting line over 16 games and would make sense for a contender. Olney mentions the Indians as one possible fit for the veteran infielder.

Where will be use a good hitting veteran infielder? Backing up Yandy who's backing up Edwin? Can he quickly learn how to play the Outfield.

5 runs in 1/3 inning for Zach a few days ago didn't help his cause. He'll probably get a one year major league contract over the winter at a reduced salary, he'll have to get by on maybe only a million
