Rangers announcers annointed Chris Perez as a "quality closer" as he secures the end of our latest losing streak. Opponents hitting about .220 against him and he now has 59 K's in 51 innings.

A total team effort. Say what you will about Perez and Acta but I'm sticking with both of them to the end.

I think that this evening's ballgame should put to bed all nonsense about quitting and quitters.
Yes, Cali, the Ranger announcers were quite astute with their remark about Chris Perez. Perez is a quality closer and right now he's ours. You can't save them all, you can't win them all, all one expects is one to do their best. I think Perez fits the description quite well. It would be a mistake to trade him in my opinion.
If anyone has any "quit" in them, it's not the team, it's not Manny Acta, it is the CEO.

Not only a win but a come-from-behind-in the-ninth win.
Three home runs from the popcorn parade.
LaMarte has a game.
Will wonders ever cease?

I couldn't believe my I-phone when it claimed the Tribe had pulled this one out. Who could've guessed.

In answer to the question:
Don't we have anyone in the organization that should get a chance to play SS instead of "no future" Lillibridge?
Juan Diaz who came up briefly in the Spring and wasn't bad, had a good season in Akron, was promoted to Columbus and batted 306 with an OPS of 800. He's even on the 40-man roster, but was sent home for September.
Bunch of other very good looking SS but they're down in Class A or lower, aged 17-20.
