Seems to me in retrospect they should have DL'd him after that hand bruise - that was forever ago! Now this happens.

Umm, we are in first place by a country mile - DL him and get him right. Both injuries.

and they have done as you directed. Yandy to DH in the meantime.

Next I'd (along with HB I am sure) like to see them keep Yandy up after 10 days. This kid is a real hitter, not an all or nothing strikeout guy. Somehow find a spot.

On the bright side for sure he'll be up Sept 1 if he is sent down.

I just don't where there's a spot for him. he could I guess platoon with Alonso, although I don't know how they like him at 1B.
obviously there's the Yandy at 3rd, Jose at 2nd option, but they're not going to make those changes at this point of the season.

Indians are saying Trevor shouldn't miss a start. IF there's any chance at all that the ankle is weakened, they're smart enough not to put him out there although he'll scream and yell about that. He'd like to pitch 9 innings every 4th day like they used to.

They have an off day also - so he actually will get an extra day off. He should be fine by then.

Jose Ramirez is having an MVP season. He plays 3rd base. That's all he has to think about. He ain't moving around and screwing up his bat to make room for a popcorn hitter.

Seagull,

YOU try hitting popcorn. It's not as easy as it sounds. Damn stuff moves like a knuckle ball!

That's why they only hit a "can of corn"

Jon Heyman reporting that Blue Jays are receiving interest for Josh Donaldson, who has battled injuries on and off all year. And he says the Indians are right now the most likely landing spot. With the idea of moving Jose to 2nd and Kipnis to OF, obviously.

Speaking of OF ... Lonnie Chisenhall has also been traveling with the team and has upped his work outs and running routines. But he worries he won't be able to get back before Sept. 3rd when the minor league season ends. Unless one of the teams make postseason he would be stuck rehabbing and getting back into his groove on the big club.

According to Spotrac, Donaldson is an unrestricted free agent at years end.

(making 23 mill this year)

Also ...

-

Indians Prospective @indiansPro

Columbus Clippers RHP Adam Plutko over his last 10 (AAA) starts:

- 61.2(IP) 29H 8R 8ER 9BB 62SO 1.17 ERA

-

Why don't we send Ramirez back down or cut Otero and allow Plutko to pitch out of the pen the rest of the season??

And Martin is currently recovering from a life threatening bacterial infection. He is currently in stable condition.

Antonetti says Martin will be evaluated in "weeks, not days".

Damb. (again)

No wonder they are looking at Donaldson and moving Kip to OF again.

Snake bit I say.
