I'd like to see the Reds and Orioles in the WS. Two teams that had spring training in Sarasota, btw.

Meh. Seen that one already. 1970, Brooks Robinson, etc.

Dave McNally grand slam too. Back when pitchers batted. REAL baseball.

Couldn't agree more VT'er. The DH is the worst concept that the league has ever come up with.

VT'er: Hey, that was a long time ago. And I'd rather see that than yet another Skankees-Dodgers WS.

Yeah back in those days the games were all during the day. In fact that might have been the last WS with all day games. If we were lucky, the teacher was a baseball fan and would have the game on, on a TV in the classroom.

("TELEVISION. The remarkable new technology that will revolutionize education!")

I guess my 6th grade teacher was a Reds fan because when Dave McNally (MacNally?) hit a grand slam for the O's he switched the set off in disgust.

Right now things are setting up very nicely for Washington, The Reds and San Francisco. All should be able to set their pitching for the post season as all have large leads, and also because they look to avoid the craziness of the extra playoff step.

Plus, the NL will have the home advantage in the World Series this year.

Brantley steals a home run from Cruz with a nifty top of the wall catch.....
