Here is some exciting numbers on Daniel Johnson. (It's a small sample size as of now but so far so good)
In 48 plate appearances against left handed pitching he is hitting .291./431/.610 with four of his nine homers, just eight strikeouts and seven walks.
Last year in 97 PA’s against LHP, Johnson’s line was .163/.250/.239 with 26 strikeouts, five walks and just one homer.

That's great. I'd like to see the split vs RH, is he striking out more often against them?

So vs RH he's walked 9 and struck out 25.
last year his split difference was profound, OPS vs RH 822, vs LH 491; in 2017 less stark 915 and 717. K/BB was always better against RH although not markedly. Better coaching with the Ducks than the Nats provided?

This guy has been doing much better too.
Since the beginning of the 2018 season spanning over 162 games played the dual threat #Indians 20yr old OF prospect Will Benson now has 32 (HR's) & 26 (SB's) over that time.
Lake County Captains 20yr old OF Will Benson is only one of two players in minor league baseball that already have double digit (HR's) & (SB's) this current 2019 MiLB season.
Will Benson (Indians) 10 (HR) 14 (SB)
Luis Robert (White Soxs) 10 (HR) 13 (SB)

Lynchburg started early today. Leading 3-0 going into the 2nd. Gavin Collins with a bases clearing double. Hillman on the bump.

Hillman has been pitching the best since we got him. He's still young [22nd birthday last week] and he's a lefty. Put him back on the prospect radar.
[His last start: Juan Hillman allowed just five hits over 6 2/3 innings, leading the Lynchburg Hillcats over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in a 2-0 win on Friday.
Hillman struck out seven and walked one.]

By the way, Ruben Cardenas homered AGAIN yesterday. 5 games in a row now.

The Cardenas homer may actually have occurred in April. The first game yesterday was conclusion of a rain shortened game from early in the season and it was hard for me to tell if the stats were from April or May, but in any case Ruben is doing really well

Oscar with his 4th homer for the Hillcats.
Hillman has completed 6 innings, shutout again in earned runs; one run scored was unearned as a result of Nolan Jones' second E of the day and 12th of the season. I'm ready whenever they are to see him convert to a corner outfield spot. I cannot see him staying at third for long.

despite a 5 run 9th the Hillcats hang on for a 7-6 win. Jones finishes with his 13th error. Hillman has not given up an earned run in his last 3 starts and in 5 of 9 outings in 2019. 7 of the 22 runs he's been charged with are unearned. If Juan pitched with a real defense behind him he could be having an even better year. As it is his ERA is now 2.61. WHIP is 1.26 which is not all that exciting. Nor are 34 K in 52 IP.

Rain is about to start, and when it does it will be here for a long while. We better score 6 now.

wrong folder, Hillbilly. Most of our minor league teams could score 6 but not likely the major leaguers.
