We're playing .333 ball against Chicago at 4-8.

We're 9-5 against Detroit. Right now we are a big difference maker in the separation between those two teams atop the standings.

MN is leading CWS, 17-4 in the 6th inning.

One game will separate the top two teams in the Division tonight.

Just two games separate the teams in the fight to avoid the Division basement.

Fortunately with these three September wins it should be a cake walk to avoid a 100 loss season. We just have to win 5 of the next 26.

Not too long ago, NY had a 10 game lead on the Birds. Now they are tied!
The Skankees have lost 10 of their last 13, part of a 19-25 record since July 18 that made their 10-game lead turn to dust.

I hope the Yankees fall hopelessly and shamefully out of the race and lure Mark Shapiro to right the ship going forward to 2013.

Shapiro is in demand and well respected by baseball owners, we have been told.

RH bats Cord Phelps and Matt LaPorta in the lineup, each 0-2 with a strikeout. Why today? Not sure, Fister is a right hander. LaPorta now 2-17 since his promotion. We sure have a way of collecting really bad 1st basemen. If the alternative can't hit or field, I suppose Kotchman is good alternative.
