Has a 10 mill option for '21

This probably won’t happen but going to throw it out there. With the sour-rising find and solid job by Perez, we now have 3 lefty set up men we can count on. And that doesn’t include Olsen who was lights out last year but struggled this year.

If Miller comes back 100% finally, I would move him to closer. Or at the very least start doing closer by committee, like Tito kicked around when we first acquired Miller. Just use match ups and let game decide who finishes.

I’ve always been a fan of Allen, but he has been shaky this year.

We’ve acquired All-Star LHP Brad Hand and RHP Adam Cimber from the Padres for C/OF Francisco Mejia.

Hand is a 2x All-Star with 46 saves and a 2.66 ERA with San Diego in 3 seasons.

Cimber sports a 3.17 ERA in 42 relief appearances this season.

Question now becomes who drops off the 40 Man other than Meija, and who drops off the 25 man roster? McAllister and ? And who do we trade for Jones from Balt?

Well once again they prove us wrong: willing to deal our best prospect and at a position we're not deep on behind him in the minors. Perhaps they're not convinced Mejia will be a big league catcher but every reason to think he'll be big league hitter. Got to give something to get something and the front office knows that and acts accordingly. Gutsy move.

40 man roster has lots of flexibility: Justin Merryweather has never been placed on the 60 day DL for some reason. Also still includes Ben Taylor and James Hoyt AAA relievers. Eric Stamets utility infielder. Lots of guys who can be removed.

25 man roster has Plutko who will return to Columbus rotation. Any time they want to release McAllister or Otero they can go ahead with few regrets

Looks uncomplicated.

As much as I liked Mejia his reluctance to move from catcher punched his ticket out of town. If he'd been willing to move to RF he would have been playing every day for us.

When the new guys are added Plutko is getting moved down. Team already announced that. Not sure what else yet but as Civ said, uncomplicated.

Cimber has very unique mechanics.
