Awesome stop by Lillibridge on a grounder up the middle to save a run.

3 solo homers by TEX makes it 7-2, middle of fifth. Might have to finish of the fifth if this keeps up.

When you factor in all the unearned runs McAllister has allowed, he's starting to look like just another fifth starter at best. That seems to be the best that we can do anymore.

Good thing we still have 13 games to play against Minnesota and Kansas City.
That gives us a more than fair chance to go the 7-21 we need to avoid a 100 loss season.

Kluber made it through 6 and left with a 3-2 lead. Allen in to try to hold the Tigers. Is Perez back with the team today or will be forced to rely on Pestano to save the game if the lead holds up?

I was back in Ohio not long ago, and was listening to that first game of Kluber's when he gave up all those runs in the first inning. He's definitely picked it up nicely since then.

Yep, it's Pestano again. So far Tigers have 2 on with one out. Hit a batter after he had 2 strikes on him.

a-struck out swinging for J Hannahan in the 7th
I noted the above as an unusual box score inclusion for Lillibridge. I guess he just straight up pinch hit for Hannahan, as opposed to replacing him in the batter's box after a pitch or two?
Update....
OK, I just checked the pitch by pitch and see Lillibridge actually started the at bat pinch hitting for Hannahan.
It's wonderful to be in Shapironetti Land where in September we have a .190 hitter pinch hitting for a .225 hitter, and we went out and got them both to advance the team in Shapiro and Antonetti's minds.

Oh it's probably more of that lefty-righty stuff. Anyway he got a hit and a SB later, didn't he? And we won? Proves Acta made the right moves I guess!
