Nelson Cruz gets tossed in rare circumstances as he splinters his bat on the plate after swinging and missing at strike 3.
He must have muttered the sexual organ oral preference of the umpire.
Texas now leads 5-1, by the way.

The Tribe is nearing a record for futility in a month that has stood since Babe Ruth's rookie year.
Archduke Ferdinand was still around when the 1914 season started.

Choo starts our 8th with a double.
No quit in Choo.
But Kipnis hits the first pitch into a DP.

Four outs between the 2012 Cleveland Indians and a not so good record that has stood for 98 seasons.

Well, at least the Reds are winning again.
I don't see how the Dolans can stand pat after this season.

A 9th inning Tribe highlight as Jason Donald makes a nice diving catch to take away what would have been Beltre's 5th hit of the night.
Looks like Beltre will end the night 4 for 5.

Lillibridge with a nice pick and throw from 3rd ends the Texas fire.
To our 9th, Texas with a 5-1 lead.

Who is Pat?
Mrs. Nixon, or the perennial candidate for President.
Or the guy who sang "April Love."
Or the ambiguous-gendered one on SNL from years ago.

Yeah, I truly never did figure out the identity or gender of the SNL Pat.
Oh, and Pat Paulsen and Pat Boone, of course.

A double and a homer make it 5-3! Could it be?

I stated early on Kotchman might get 20 dingers, and Civ called me on it.

Nathan warming up quickly to go for his 26th consecutive save, as we try to avoid a 24 loss season.
And it adds up to 50. Go figure.

Apparently Shapiro has lured some rookie fans into the stadium with free tix as they break into a home run cheer on a fly out to medium left center.

Joe Nathan in with one out and none on to go for his 26th consecutive save.
And he K's Lillibridge on a hard swing for out number 2.
One of our numbers guys in the front office should have let Lillibridge know we just needed a base runner.
