Just curious, what would a package of Guyer, Tomlin, and Perez bring us?

Lol, I assume that's a rhetorical question.

We'd have to send Mejia with them just to get rid of their contracts. No one would want those!

It was but thanks for not saying the proverbial bag of chips.

I think that after the trade deadline is over and if things were still the same Perez would be sent down to get his bat improved, Guyer also if he has options. Meja and Zimmer/Allen could be brought up. Only injury would bring Diaz up unfortunately.

Tribe won't send Perez down. Too humiliating.

Though, mystery injuries cannot be ruled out. A trip to the DL and a long rehab period is more like it.

Well, at least now we know.

-

Indians right-hander Danny Salazar underwent arthroscopic right shoulder surgery Monday morning in Dallas and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.

Dr. Keith Meister performed an arthroscopic debridement and bursectomy on Salazar's throwing shoulder. He will not throw for 12 to 16 weeks.

Does the FA clock still tick when the player goes on long term DL?

Unbelievable ... Lonnie Chisenhall has injured his calf AGAIN!

Official word is strained calf. Good, because earlier Andre Knott said tore.

Interesting though, as limping out he was favoring his left leg. When he was on DL earlier Matt Underwood points out it was for his right calf.

Can some trainer show this guy how to stretch? Damn.

Seems we can't trust this guy to stay healthy. He's a good player but...it always seems to be something. Cal Ripken he ain't.

He's a free agent this winter and gone.

He's giving Naquin the shot to prove himself and perhaps giving Mejia the opening to come up to play part-time RF?

Let's hope so.

Mejia has the arm for RF but I have to be honest, I still can't get the Yandy to OF experiment out of my mind. He was a disaster out there. It's not as easy as people think. Some can't do it.

By the way, for those that maybe haven't heard, Lonnie injured that calf during warm ups!! Not the game, not a game, warm ups. We're talking warm up. Not a game. Warm ups.

(sorry, Allen Iverson's voice popped in my head as I was typing so just went with it)

I've been as big a Chiz supporter as anybody -- if for no other reason it sure would be nice to see some 1st rounders start working out for a change -- but have to say Civ is right. A market like Cleveland just can't invest a chunk of change in this guy. He can't even make it through warm ups now. Unbelievable.
