I might think about it if it were for a dominating closer type guy. Britton is about to return from Achilles injury, for example. Then move Allen to set up with Miller.
But if it were for a good set up type guy, no. Wouldn’t part with a top prospect for a set up guy. Sheffield was pushing it for me. (Never was a Frazier fan tho)
Then again, Mejia is below the Mendoza line at Columbus so ...?

If you were going to pull off a trade now it would probably cost. Teams like waiting till deadline so they can play teams against each other. So if you were going to talk a team out of someone good right now you would have to get their attention. So a Mejia just may have to be involved. So go for someone really good.

Chang or Castro would be part of a package; fortunately they are both hitting well and fortunately we are pretty well set on the left side of the infield already.

Jordan Bastian @MLBastian
For the month of May, the Indians offense ranked...
•1st in MLB in runs (179), AVG (.283), SLG (.499), OPS (.848), wOBA (.363), wRC+ (128), doubles (68)
•1st in AL in fWAR (8.1), OBP (.350)
Cleveland went 15-13 for the month, largely due to 8.01 bullpen ERA.

Allen is getting the start over Zimmer in CF tonight. Must be a lefty on mound. They may just keep Allen over Davis and platoon him with Zimmer?

Sounds like a good idea, although Allen only has about a month of AAA experience so they may want him to "refine his game" in Columbus awhile longer. He can always come back up; if Davis is gone, he's probably gone for good [of course we said that once before]

A lot of good moves by this front office but WOW did we whiff on Jesus Aguilar.
He is tearing it up in Milwaukee.

It's not like Aguilar wasn't given opportunities by the Tribe. Every time he was promoted, he failed.
Got lucky when the Tribe dumped him.

Well, they were awfully brief opportunities. 10 hits in 58 at bats over three seasons. 1 double. 21 strikeouts. 4 walks. Failed miserably in his brief looks.
Had a great spring training in 2015, but no chance in the majors. A lousy spring training in 2016 and a handful of at bats that September.

Indians have activated Lonnie Baseball from the DL and demoted Zimmer.
And it was the exact right thing to do. Zimmer better work on that swing. He's nothing more than a K machine that hits an occasional single right now.

Chiz is in starting lineup tonight in RF batting 8th. Allen in CF batting 9th.
