Hafner is in midseason form. A ground ball to 2nd. Not a DP only because Beckham doesn't handle it well.

Buerhle walks Kearns to get to LaPorta who goes to 3-2 and hits a soft fly. 2-0 after 2.

Joe won't be surprised about this post:
2-run homer for Adam Dunn. 4-0 Sox. Try again tomorrow.

Tribe Pitchers Fan 14. Did we do that ever last year?

Chisox have a LOT OF free swingers. Lots of K's gonna happen to them this year.
That said, so what?? It's about runs.

Trying to find a bright side. That will take some hard work and creative thinking this season.

First of the season, I think: a starting pitcher retires the side in order. Great job Carlos Carrasco. Unfortunately he wasn't so successful in the first 2 innings. 1 in the 1st, 4 in the 2nd. But there's more good news: NO Homers allowed all game by CC. Tribe trails 5-3 middle of 3.

LaPorta has now struck out with men on 2nd and 3rd; and popped up with men on 1st and 2nd.

Carrasco has now gone 5 innings, no more runs allowed in the past 3 frames and he's only at 75 pitches, proving again that he just might be successful if he can avoid:
a) homeruns (which he's done today)
b) the big inning (4 scored in the 2nd)

Tribe with a rally and a chance to tie. Santana and Hafner single with one out in the 5th. OCabrera bats with TravisBuck to follow.

Carrasco allowed his 6th run in the 6th. He put one on in the 7th and Chad Durbin relieved and made things worse: a walk and a 2-rbi double. 8-3 Sox.

Twins about to go 0-2. If we stay even with Minnesota all year, I'll be satisfied.
