I somehow missed that. We have a pitcher 5’5”?

I don’t like pigeon-holing guys but damn, I don’t think we’ve had a pitcher that small ... in my life maybe?

I just looked it up. Shortest pitcher in Cleveland history was George Krapp, who ironically played for the Naps.

1912 and ‘13.

The shortest in modern day MLB history was a guy in the 1920’s who was 5’4”

History is not behind our little guy but I’ll be rooting for him.

Bradley settled in to his new digs. 4 hits last night including walk off 2 rbi single. ... Allen had 2 hits.

Draper with another good outing for Scrappers. Freeman got over his illness, 2 more hits. I think that is 17 straight now.

Jones is finding Lynchburg a nice home. 2 hits and a homer in game 2 of DH’er.

Jones did evidence his defensive limitations with his first Lynchburg error. Since he's now our No. 1 position player prospect it's time to make an honest judgment on his future position, or at least to start experimenting with options: Is he a LF or a RF or a 3B, I hope he's more than a first baseman. Some instructional league trial in the outfield would be wise, or some serious defensive coaching if he's the 3B of the future.

I thought I remembered Fred Beene was tiny, but it turns out he stood 5-9.

The Cavs had someone that little at backup point guard once? I checked Footsie Walker [6-0] and Bobby Washington [5-11].
I had to look it up and tiniest was Earl Boykins 5-5, local kid, who played for 10 teams total.
Next comes the short career of Isaiah Thomas, 5-9, although they should be discounted a couple inches for the short duration of his stay with the Cavs

Eli Morgan has either run out of steam or the secret of his success has been unmasked. Not being looking great lately; he was about as effective today as the Angels starter. He retired 2 batter, walked one, allowed 5 hits, and all 6 scored. His ERA is now 3.93
Last 5 starts: 21 innings, 20 earned runs, 32 hits.

Here's an unusual partial score; Lake County is up 4-0 although it is only the 4th. I guess it doesn't hurt that Benson is out of the lineup and his average stays at .160. A 1B-OF-DH who we never talk about, Jose Medina, has a pair to hits, now battin 293; OPS 781. 23 year is too old for this level to be taken seriously.
Oscar Gonzalez with his 18th double, is hitting 279. He has 12 homers, but OPS is merely 716 since he has only11 walks to his 95 strikeouts. He had 11 homers through June; 1 since, in 114 at bats.

Kirk McCarty has got hot while Eli Morgan has gone cold. 3 shutout innings by McCarthy with 5 strikeouts. Speaking of short pitchers, he's a 5-10 lefty. [Morgan a 5-10 righty] he came into today's gamed with this record over his last 10 starts:
54 innings 44 hits 11 runs 9 strikeouts 65 strikeouts. He's not appearing on any top 30 prospect lists, which is a mistake
