We gained ground over Chicago, Detroit and likely KC tonight. KC had surprisingly moved within 3 1/2 of second place, but they are down big late now.

My South Carolina Gamecocks unbelievably got off the mat, and yes won over Gaylord's and Ohio's Kent State Golden Flashes. And won another game the same day.....yesterday....... over Arkansas who was 2-0 at one point in double elimination.

And defeated Arkansas moments ago 3-2, to knock Arkansas out and wipe the slate clean to face Arizona in a best of three for a possible third consecutive NCAA Baseball World Series Championship.

Gomez is perfect through 4 innings. I believe he pitched a perfect game in Akron, which might have been a tougher challenge than the current Astros lineup.
