has any outfielder not been on the DL at least once this season? You'd have thunk that would have held the team back.

AA OF Greg Allen may wind up a key member of our playoff lineup?
I'd be stunned if Brantley gets back before spring.

Before the season started I think I had Allen ranked as our #4 prospect. (behind Mejia, McKenzie, and Yandy)
After minor league season I ranked him 3rd. (moved Yandy off my list)
I love me some Greg Allen. I think he's going to be a very good every day major leaguer. Not sure he is ready. He hasn't been above AA and he missed a large portion of this season with injury. But so far he has looked pretty damn good.
But if I were to guess, I think we will see Kipnis in CF for postseason. If Brantley does get back, maybe Chiz?
But Allen might see time as late inning defensive replacement either way?

The only way to f#$k up this winning streak is to re-introduce injured players back in the lineup.
Kipnis, Brantley, Miller and Salazar can play their way back into the lineup AFTER the streak is over.
Don't f&%k with a winning streak.

I'm not a stats guy but I wondered how good our pitching is compared to the rest of baseball.
I'm sure there are more stats where we are the best but these jump out at me.
Thru 144 games
Best in baseball.
Shutouts 18
Ks 1429
Walks 373
Runs allowed 515
ERA 3.41

Second most shutouts are 10.
The K/BB ratio is otherworldly.

Jason Kipnis took batting practice today wearing a Cleveland Clothing Company "Yes Way Jose" t shirt.
Kipnis gets Tweets every night from fans telling him "you wouldn't have made that play". He hear radio callers and TV shows daily saying Jose should stay at 2nd base and they should trade Kipnis. Yet he goes out and shows his support for Jose publicly. In this day & age of greedy me-first prima donna's I just love seeing the support that our players all have for each other and how much fun they have.
One of the media asked Kipnis about all that talk about the young guys should take his job. Look at his response.
This team has so many true pro's. Real classy guys. I think this team still has great leadership on the roster. Some of them are quiet leaders that lead by example.
Get this ... ESPN Sportscenter tweeted out a poll asking fans who should win the AL MVP. Jose Ramirez was not among the 4 players listed. A guy tweeted back at them ...
marco defalco @MarcoDeFalco_
The fact that @MrLapara isn't in this ... @MLB @Indians @SportsCenter
(Mr. Lapara is Jose Ramirez twitter handle)
Jose Ramirez replied ...
Jose Ramirez @MrLapara
It's OK... We don't care about that... We care about 20 in a row and a WS title next month.... We're a team here.
I just love this team and the chemistry it has. The support they have for each other. It's so refreshing. No Roger Dorn's here.
This is a special team. Having a great time watching them this year!

SEVENBURGH @bbott1234
What a division go pitch in. Smh. #SaleCy
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW @Indians
Corey Kluber is 5-1 with a 1.68 ERA against the AL East. Smh.
I love the Indians twitter account. Whoever runs it does a great job. Funny stuff, and alot of cool info. The Columbus Blue Jackets have a great person running their account too. A lot of sports team Twitter accounts are boring. We are lucky.

HB - probably should put Yandy back on that list.
This kid may be here to stay.

Sorry, what I meant was that I removed Yandy from the list because he's made the majors now. Had a few different trips up this year. Believe me, I'm still a huge Yandy fan too.

From MLB.com ...
The Tribe is now just one win shy of matching the longest winning streak in MLB history: 21 straight games by the 1935 Cubs.
• The 1916 Giants recorded 26 wins without a loss in 1916, but there was a tie in the middle of the streak. The Giants won 12 straight games in September before tying the Pirates, 1-1, then rattled off 14 more wins in a row. But the tie broke up the consecutive win streak, so the Major League record stands at 21. The Indians could soon change that.
.
So if we win today we would match the longest ever winning streak. Win today and tomorrow we own it.

Jordan Bastian @MLBastian
The last time Indians lost:
A stamp cost 49 cents.
Milk cost $2.25.
Donald Trump was President.
Kids who are 22 days old weren't even born.
.
And might I add, I had never seen the iPhone X yet.

I like that one!
I can note from a personal perspective that since my son got married, the Indians record is 23-3. Not nearly that good a winning percentage in my married life.
