Francisco Mejia left Tuesday's game with Triple-A Columbus after being hit in the left forearm by a pitch.

Mejia stayed in the game initially before being replaced behind the plate in the next half-inning. Columbus manager Chris Tremie said that he'll be reevaluated on Wednesday.

Mejia went 0-for-3 on Tuesday and is batting just .197 with three homers and a .570 OPS through 29 games this season in Triple-A.

Nolan Jones has raced past the Mendoza line with 3 hits. Will Benson clouted his 7th homer. Dominant 5 innings from Morgan: 3 hits, 1 walk, 8 K, shutout [now 50 K in 38 1/3 innings: note that as an advanced college arm BA expected to open up this year in Lynchburg. Seems little reason to hold him in Lake County,

Benson is now second in the Midwest in homers tied with several, one off the lead. His 29 strikeouts are now no more than about 40th, league high is 29. Walk total of 23 places him 8th. He's not Russell Branyan.

Morgan came into the game 2 off the league pace in strikeouts. Now he's 6 ahead of the pack.

3 more hits for the unsung Jorma Rodriguez, not hitting 376, at the same level last season he hit 201. He rarely walks, rarely hits for extra bases, not much of a basestealer, so I guess still not much of a prospect. But doing a nice job for the Captains!

The good news would be a lot better if we were told that McKenzie was ready to come north

Willi Castro's starting to look better, he doubled and homered yesterday for Akron, now at 226/288/336
Mathias two singles and a walk, .277
Marabell double and homer [#4 of each] OPS .999
Bradley replaced early, looks like he got hurt on a play at 1st base.
Bullpen aspirant Henry Martinez with his 3rd save on a 1-2-3 ninth, 2 by strikeout,
old friend Luigi Rodriguez now with Richmond is hitting .400. Older friend Jerry Sands stuck in AA is hitting .182

Lynchburg got a decent start by Tati, but Ben Krauth melt down, in a 9-1 loss. The only hit was a 9th double by Connor Capel off another former Indians prospect Elvis Araujo, who has had some major league time and is now rehapping for the Phillies.
Tati 5 5 2 2 1 1 in his Carolina debut
Krauth 1/3 3 3 3 1 0 and he made an error No one's perfect.

Unknown starters for Columbus and Akron. Probably some combination of DeMasi and Whitehouse at one or both places.
Miniard 0-1 4.82 for Lynchburg. Hillman 0-4 5.32 [his last 3 games have been OK; 17 12 5 5 6 14 2.65] but his career W-L is a paltry 10=-20

Longo remains out. Not on the DL. But checking the roster I see that Justin Garza after his good stretch of pitching is on the DL as is 3B Gavin Collins

CLE AA Bradley, Bobby 1B 1 0 0 0 .181
CLE AA Castro, Willi SS 4 1 2 1 .226 2B (7), HR (2)
CLE AA Krieger, Tyler LF 4 0 1 0 .234 BB (5), CS (2)
CLE AA Mathias, Mark 2B 3 2 2 0 .278 BB (16)

That's all BA comes up with. Not sure why leave out the other teams?

They are hitting lots of our prospects this week! Frankie is like Longo not on the DL; we'll see.

Lynchburg started early and are ahead 4-1 in the 3rd. Longo 0-1 with a walk so far.

Akron and Lake County about to get started too.

Columbus plays tonight with Plutko starting.

Update on @Indians prospect Francisco Mejia ... He was hit on the left forearm, not elbow. @CLBClippers manager Chris Tremie said he would be re-evaluated Wednesday. No further word on injury. #Indians @MiLB @MLBPipeline

Longo is back, that's no. 2. Chang returned quickly after being hit. Let's hope Franklin is too; he's started hitting better lately.

They're all in action now other than Columbus.

Bradley is out of the Akron lineup; Whitehouse the not surprising starter. Willi Castro with a walk and a steal. No hits yet through 3 for the RDucks.
2 hits and a walk for the flying Wakamatsu and a pair each for a couple Hillcat nonprospects. Micah Minard out after 4 innings, 3 runs, 7 hits.
Hillman stinks today; 3 runs and 7 hits in 3 innings.
