Civ, you need to get on Twitter. That is where teams announce their moves now.

Cleveland Indians @Indians
Friday moves:
Activate Chiz/JT/ Abe from DL
Recall Crockett/Morimando/Plutko from CBus
Recall Mejia from AKR
Select Allen contract from AKR

Good call HB.

Civ - another alternative is Rotoworld because they monitor Twitter and compile it in one place with (fantasy) commentary.

Give it a look - and samples below.

http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/mlb ... ayer-news/

Sep 1 - 10:10 AM

Adam Plutko - S - Indians

Indians recalled RHP Adam Plutko from Triple-A Columbus.
The 25-year-old didn't have a good year at Columbus, holding a 5.90 ERA and 103/53 K/BB ratio over 135 2/3 innings. Plutko will operate in long relief.
Sep 1 - 10:05 AM

Shawn Morimando - S - Indians

Indians recalled LHP Shawn Morimando from Triple-A Columbus.
Morimando, 24, held a 4.41 ERA and 128/57 K/BB ratio over 159 1/3 frames for Columbus this season. It's possible he'll get a spot start in September, but for now he'll work in long relief.
Sep 1 - 10:04 AM

Kyle Crockett - R - Indians

Indians recalled LHP Kyle Crockett from Triple-A Columbus.
Crockett has been knocked around in his brief time in the majors this season but boasts a 3.38 ERA and 49/11 K/BB ratio over 48 innings at Columbus. He'll be used as a lefty specialist.
Sep 1 - 10:02 AM

Greg Allen - OF - Indians

Indians purchased the contract of OF Greg Allen from Double-A Akron.
Allen, 24, hit .264/.344/.357 with two home runs and 21 stolen bases for Akron this season. He'll function primarily as a pinch-runner in the final month.
Sep 1 - 10:00 AM

Francisco Mejia - C - Indians

Indians recalled C Francisco Mejia from Double-A Akron.
Considered by many to be the top catching prospect in baseball, Mejia batted .297/.346/.490 with 14 homers for Akron this season. He's the catcher of the future in Cleveland, but the Tribe will likely continue going with Yan Gomes and Roberto Perez primarily at the position down the stretch.

Thanks for the info and suggestions, guys.

Plutko has been up before and didn't pitch, but has been doing a little better in Columbus lately.
Now have a long bullpen that Tito enjoys.
Morimando was great midseason, but only average lately.

That's just about all the pitchers on the 40 man roster except for 1 inning every few days Dylan Baker. Although I see that they just put him back on the 60-day DL. So if I'm not wrong, everyone on the 40 man roster other than Tyler Naquin is now either on the major league roster or the DL.

once again, Indians.com has a slightly different report, which excludes Plutko and Crockett. Perhaps they're promotions will wait a couple days until the AAA season ends.

With Major League rosters expanding Friday to allow clubs to keep up to 40 active players, the Cleveland Indians announced a flurry of moves. They recalled catcher and No. 1 prospect (No. 16 overall in MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 list) Francisco Mejia from Double-A Akron, selected the contract of outfielder Greg Allen (Indians' No. 8 prospect) and recalled left-handed pitcher Shawn Morimando (Indians' No. 17) from Triple-A Columbus.
The Indians also activated outfielders Abraham Almonte and Lonnie Chisenhall and right-hander Josh Tomlin from the 10-day disabled list and right-hander Dan Otero from the paternity list.

Zack Meisel
Francisco Mejia called his parents when he leaned he was getting the call-up. His mom didn't believe him, asked him to send pics for proof.

Current roster is 34 players; with Kipnis and Brantley and Miller and Salazar on the DL.
Armstrong and Naquin are the only two players on minor league option.
I assume they will both return in a few days after the Clippers season ends.

Injury update:

Cleveland Indians' medical updates on Jason Kipnis, Andrew Miller, Michael Brantley, Danny Salazar

Right-hander Danny Salazar (right elbow): He threw a 23-pitch simulated game on Friday at Class AA Akron without an issue.
Salazar has been on the DL twice this year with right shoulder and elbow problems. Scheduled to start on Tuesday.

Second baseman Jason Kipnis (right hamstring): Kipnis is running on flat ground (as opposed Alter G treadmill) and has been asymptomatic. He is also hitting and throwing. Kipnis is expected to progress to taking ground balls and sprinting next week. He has been on the DL twice with the same hamstring problem.

Left-hander Andrew Miller (patella tendinitis): He has progress to playing long toss and throwing on flat ground. He will be evaluated next week to determine when he'll be able to throw off the mound. Miller has been on the disabled list twice with the same knee problem.

Outfielder Michael Brantley (right ankle): Running is still a question mark for Brantley. He's running on the Alter G treadmill (non-weight bearing) and will be evaluated next week to see what the next step is. Brantley is throwing and hitting without an issue. He has been on the disabled list twice with the same ankle injury.
