Me too HB! Get him hanging with the guys in the big league setting.
The other top-20 hitter in the AFL is Indians catcher Francisco Mejia, who'll get reps at third base with Glendale this fall to potentially increase his versatility so the Indians can get his bat into the lineup.
The switch-hitting 21-year-old who had a 50-game hitting streak in 2016 continues to show he can hit for average with his power showing up more during his '17 season in Double-A.

Good idea. Let him give his legs a rest while getting a little experience at another position.

Indians.com quote from the GM is equivocal but he certainly does not say No.

Blue Jays didn't help Kluber any in his competition with Sale. Again shut out, struck out 12, or was it 13? and walked none.

And this from Zack Meisel ...
Ryan Merritt's fastest pitch today? 87.8 mph. Yankees could barely touch him. Merritt owns a 1.50 ERA in 36 MLB innings (including playoffs)

Merritt reminds you of Jamie Moyer. The type of pitcher that has always given us fits. We should maybe try to find a spot for him next year. A lefty in rotation wouldn't be a bad thing. He's more or less a lefty Tomlin, maybe look to deal him in offseason.

Jamie Moyer, now there's an example of a guy who pitched into his forties like that. Shoot he proved it can be done, and very successfully.

Shoot - if Merritt has 70% of Jamie Moyer's career he's a keeper!

So happy to hear Greg Allen gets the call up. He has had a tough injury plagued year. This will be a nice boost for him.
You have to be on the MLB roster before September 1st to be eligible for playoff roster, correct? They may have wanted to do this now in case the injuries to OF'ers don't clear up by playoff time and have option to add him in case they want a good base runner late in game?

He's clearly done something to piss people off. He was the poster boy of the 2016 run with his fist pumping inside the park homer, and now he languishes.

Well Naquin has already played this year and eligible for playoff roster if needed. This will give them another option if needed. Hopefully Naquin will understand that.
