Abraham Almonte (biceps) has returned to Cleveland to work with trainers after reporting difficulty throwing, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
Almonte, out since May 16 with the injury, had got off to a decent start with Triple-A Columbus this past week, going 5-for-15 with a 1.007 OPS over five games. Nonetheless, he'll likely be out for a couple more weeks due to the setback and may not return to game action until he's able to throw normally. With Michael Brantley (ankle) and Brandon Guyer (wrist) close to returning from the DL, Almonte may be pressed for playing time upon his return.

Not unhappy with the current OF work by Zimmer, Chisenhall Jackson and Robertson as a backup. Once Brantley is back we'll have very little need for all those other guys on DL/rehab: Naquin, Guyer and Almonte

Zimmer is a no-doubter barring injury. He belongs. Too many skills not to be an everyday player. Brantley, Zimmer, and Chisenhall!

I agree anf Guyer spells Chisenhall vs lefties, and Brantley as needed.

I don't know guys. Chisenhall is very streaky, and he's on the tail end of a good one. So we're all feeling the love. But the bad stretch is about to start. It always does with him.
I'm getting very close to wanting to give Naquin another look. If not then put him in a package for something to improve the club, cause he doesn't have much else to prove in AAA. He's killing it in Columbus.
But me personally, I am shopping Chiz. Now would be a good time.

I like Jackson as a backup at all OF spots
I agree that Chiz has never stayed hot for long and this could be top of the market for him but his defense in RF is solid. Naquin doesn't do it for me, I think he's a AAAA but I'm usually wrong.

A lot will be depending on the next couple of weeks to determine Jose Ramirez's all star fate. It's highly unlikely he makes the starting lineup. He's way too far behind in the voting. I did my due diligence. I have 35 votes in for him. It comes down to the managers, players, and fans now. With a strong finish to the first half, he may have a chance. Sano leads in the voting process. The popular choice would most likely go to Manny Machado. Ramirez is a little know entity. Outside of Cleveland, I doubt anyone's heard of Jose.

How old are you again, Joe?
Sounds like something a 12 year old would do.

Why so judgemental, SEAGULL?
The Indians, and i assume all the other teams, are urging fans to vote as many times as possible.

The Indians Twitter account has been having contests to get people to vote. Yesterday they did one where you could win an autographed game used ball by Kluber from his great performance in Baltimore the other night.
I voted and entered. I must admit.
Yeah, I'm a big kid.
I have a large collection of autographed Ohio sports memorabilia. That ball would have been nice for my collection. But alas, I didn't win.

My wife always tells everyone I forgot to grow up. I guess at 72 years old, that's why I feel like I'm back in my 30's again

Besides people voting 35 times for players, we now know how Vladimir Guerrero made the All Star Team 9 times.
The freakin' Russians hacked the AS voting.

You go joez! Hell, I've regressed back to my teens personally. LOL, why not?
To go back to the OF discussion, seems to me little doubt Naquin and Almonte are pretty much afterthoughts at this point.
Austin Jackson is a keeper, Zimmer is a player! Question now is Guyer, since I think the Tribe will not cast him aside like they will Almonte and Naquin.
Oh, and they have loved Chiz all along, no way he goes.
These are not my opinions on who I like - but rather what I think the Tribe will do.

Funny how the Tribe went from not enough outfielders to too many outfielders
