If Lonnie Chisenhall (concussion) is cleared by team docs, he could play a rehab game at Class AA Akron on Saturday or Sunday.

Josh Tomlin will start Wednesday vs. Rockies in Coors Field. Tribe feels Danny Salazar isn't ready to rejoin rotation.

I have to admit, I thought he had died a long time ago!

I mentioned a couple of weeks back that the best location for Salazar was the bullpen. That's where pitchers with 98 mph fast balls with no control can be useful facing a batter or two in situational spots. Maybe one day Salazar will learn to spot his fastball around the corners instead of serving up center cut pitches.
The ideal situation? "If we had a 10-run lead it would be nice to give him an inning," said Francona. "But that doesn't happen often."
That's about right.

Wow, the Indians have 2 days off this week, before and after they travel to Denver. When was the last time that has happened, excluding rainouts and All Star breaks?

But Tomlin can hit and pitchers have to bat.

Tomlin is a fly ball pitcher. Can you imagine how many of those flies would leave the park in CO?

Indians recall Chisenhall ... Place Salazar on DL with right shoulder soreness.
This guy is as frustrating as it gets.

"right shoulder soreness?"
When was this diagnosed? Or is it just a stopgap measure until they move someone else?

Indians have sent Danny Salazar to AA Akron to work with pitching coach Tony Arnold. Coordinator Ruben Niebla will check in as well on Salazar.

There is some talk that Salazar isn't hurt, the team just didn't want to send down any other reliever to make room for Chiz. So that makes sense, that they sent Salazar down to work with Arnold.
