Well Joe Thomas is officially out of our win prediction contest. We lost one.

Lindor is on pace for over 120 homers this year. Maybe we can do an over/under contest on that one.

How do they fit Chis and Kip back into the roster, without getting rid of anyone we want to keep on hand, but retaining a utility IF? If they'd be satisfied with JRam as Lindor's backup we could escape the curse of Michael Martinez. Even if Almonte were the odd man out for the OFs, would there be many game opportunities for Yandy?

That is certainly my hope, Civ. Dump Martinez when Kip is back. When they want to spell Kip and Lindor have Jose scoot over and play Yandy at 3rd. While he has not hit yet like we know he can his defense has been perfect. (Knock on wood)
As far as Chiz, that is a much tougher decision. I would prefer to keep Almonte, he's played better so far. But he has an option left. I also wonder if Jackson got some guaranteed escalator when he made the 25 man roster. My guess is they send Almonte down.

Agree. Jackson is a defensive force in a defensive position, would be surprised if he didn't stick.

Just read this in an article tonight. Wow.
.
10. Brantley has now been up to bat in five potential walk-off situations in his career. Four of those five ended in wins.

Are we all agreed now that Encarnacion is the new Swisher?
Or does he get a few games to prove himself?

Post this bit from an article here to make sure Seagull sees it.
.
Heading into Wednesday's game, Diaz had posted an average exit velocity of 94.6 mph on balls in play, ranking fifth-best in the Majors among players with at least 20 results, per Statcastâ„¢.
.
But he's not getting results. Must be swinging too hard....

All he did yesterday was walk once and strike out three times, which makes his K total equal to 32% of his plate appearances. If those 0 mph exit velocities are added in, his average drops quite a bit.

Naquin sent down. Chisenhall back. Makes sense.

Tyler has looked bad since late last season. I predicted he would be sent down.

What is interesting is Chiz is playing CF today. Not Almonte, who is in RF.
I might be reading too much into that though.
Civ, you just keep beating the drum for Urshela. Don't worry about Yandy, he'll be fine.
