Dominican Republic beat Japan 12-1 in historic SDC match

Mexico defeated Venezuela 2-1 and is 2-0 in Mexicali 2025 standings

Mexicali, Baja California (Prensa Águilas).- The Charros' timely hitting came at the zero hour of the game.

An error by Venezuela's first baseman Rangel Ravelo, on a hit by Julian Ornelas, led to the leadoff run scored by Michael Wielasky against pitcher Arnaldo Hernandez who was the loser. For his part, Stephen Nogosek relieved the eighth with a hit and a strikeout to take the win.

Venezuela opened the scoreboard in the fourth, tagging Manny Bañuelos with a single by Jose Rondon, who was a true "Texas Leaguer" that fell behind shortstop Jack Mayfield and center fielder Billy Hamilton for the 1-0.

The Charros of Mexico tied the score in the top of the fifth, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Donovan Casey against starter Jimmy Endersby who had nothing to do with the decision.

Mexico beats Dominican Republic and is in the semifinals of Mexicali 2025

Mexicali, Baja California (Prensa Águilas).- The Mexican team, led by Benjamin Gil, blanked the Leones del Escogido of the Dominican Republic and Albert Pujols by a score of 2-0 with an excellent performance by starter Ronald Medrano who was inspired by a Nido de Los Águilas that had another sold-out crowd with 17,000 spectators.

Venezuela beat Puerto Rico with batting force

Mexicali, Baja California (CBPC Press).- Venezuela deployed its best offense of the championship and beat Puerto Rico 10-5 to achieve their first victory in the 67th Caribbean Series and take an important step towards its qualification to the semifinal round. After this result, the standings show Mexico at 3-0; Dominican Republic 2-1, Venezuela and Puerto Rico 1-2 and Japan 0-2.
