Bottom of the 9th in Panama. Diablos 3 Roneros 3. What a ballgame. Diablos showing a lot of nads after dropping the first three games of this best of seven series. The Roneros lead the series 3 games to 2 with a chance to win it all with a run in the home half of the inning.

Roneros couldn't git'r done. Two out basehit was all they could muster up. End of 9 Diablos 3 Roneros 3. From the series that Damaso Espino is having, it's tough to understand why the Indians dropped him. He looks like a very solid catcher to me. He's also having an awesome offensive series.

These games have been frustrating to watch. Not the games themselves but the server which keeps dropping out for innings at a time.

Well, the first two Diablos hitters went down quietly. Don't know what's happening now.

Steven Wright was supposed to start this ballgame. He's 1-0. Toru Murata started two of the games didn't give up any runs in 7 innings and was the opening game winner but took the loss a couple of night ago and couldn't get through 3 innings. Danny Salazar hasn't appeared at all. I'm guessing he's back in Cleveland for the winter development program. That's the only reason I can think of as to why he's not pitching here. Too bad. He was one of the top five pitchers is this league. Still can't get past the server. The game was in the bottom of the 12th still tied at 3.

Puerto Rico Winter League

•Giovanni Soto (RP, Gigantes de Carolina): 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 0 K. Overall, Soto continues to pitch well in Puerto Rico and he looks to be 100% recovered from the left elbow neuritis which sidelined him for most of the regular season. He has now pitched in 11 games and has a nice 1.46 ERA and has allowed just 7 hits and has 12 strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched. He has also been equally tough on lefties (.167 AVG, .452 OPS) and righties (.182 AVG, .561 OPS). If you were going to be critical of anything of him this offseason it is his 7 walks.

El Juego de Estrellas cambió su cara

The Venezuelan all star team defeated the Dominican Republic all stars 4-0 at a game played at University Stadium in Caracas. The troops commanded by Julio Franco did not give any chance for the Dominicans to run by Felix Fermin as the pitching staff only allowed five hits, also bleaching the Dominicans in nine innings.

The man of the night for a second day in a row was "The Bobare Giant "Luis Jimenez . The first baseman and designated from the Lara Cardinals sent two huge home runs, both surpassing more than half of the stands of the arena. The first was to right field in the second inning opened the scoring for Venezuela. Then fired one to center in the sixth inning proving that the home run derby crown that he won was well deserved. "The most important are the personal achievements, but Venezuela won," Jimenez said after the meeting. "Now we must fight to defend this great event and that Venezuelans continue to support their baseball," said the slugger.

Another point to note about the commitment was in the fourth inning with the game just 1-0 in favor of the home team and Magallanes Navigators, Jesus Flores at the plate with three runners on base and two outs, facing the right hander major leaguer Osiris Matos, and as has been customary for him all season, managed to connect a single to left field for a two-run producer. Coming home were the legs of Luis Jimenez and Oscar Salazar . With this pair of scores, the score stood 3-0, giving the natives a larger advantage to dominate the game at will.

As regards to the work of the Venezuelan pitchers, there is nothing more that emphasized their work..... impeccable......each one of nine pitchers that paraded to the mound at no time allowed a dangerous attack by the Dominican Republic team.

Renyel Pinto, Dwayne Pollok, Luis Ramirez, Austin Biebens-Dirkx, Jose Mijares, Wilfredo Ledezma, Jon Hunton, Jean Machi and Francis Butto, were responsible for going all the way to master the difficult alienment of the Caribbean team. "We have to thank pitching coach Ricky Bones, how well they pitched last night. Much of the success of winning we owe it to him, "the strategist Julio Franco said.

It only remains to point out the great entertainment and atmosphere we experienced last night in the park of the University Stadium Caracas, giving a sample of union and joy by fans to see their favorite players in action. Not yet known for sure where will the next All-Star Game will be, or if carried out with the same system. But what is clear is that yesterday will not be the last to be played in this country in the coming years.

The leader of the Cleveland Indians Manny Acta denied that he influenced the team to deny permission to Carlos Santana to play winter ball for the Escogido Leones.

Several stellar Cleveland players received approval to join their teams in the Dominican and in the Venezuelan leagues, but Santana was banned from playing and the Escogido fans used social media to blame Acta and who serves the Licey Tigres as an advisor.

"I thank those who think that I have that power. Those decisions are the responsibility of the general manager, "said Acta, during an activity at his foundatio Impactakids held in stadiums that the leader has been built in the town of Consuelo, San Pedro de Macoris.

"I am pro-winter league baseball, but the general manager has the final word. There are cases that are different, "he said. The Indians pitchers Fausto Carmona and Ubaldo Jimenez will debut next week with the Aguilas Cibaenas and Licey Tigres, respectively, and shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera played with the Leones del Caracas in his native Venezuela.

" Fausto and Ubaldo this past season were very inconsistent and have mechanics to work on."

"Cabrera called directly to the general manager and it was agreed that he could play for a month in Venezuela and then he will rejoin the team in January."

"Carlos is young and did not need the extra at bats,"Acta said.

Santana hit .239 in 2011 with the Indians, but received 97 tickets for a .351 on base percentage. He hit 27 homers and drove in 79 runs. In addition, he compiled 35 doubles and 84 runs scored.

"The general manager sees Carlos Santana as an important figure for the team and we made a decision that I understand and respect," he said. Cleveland came in second in the division of the American League Central with a record of 80-82.
