With his 0-3 on Thursday night, Arias' average (.299) dipped below the .300 mark for the first time since he began play a month ago.

Cartagena. Vaqueros remains unstoppable in the 2024-2025 season. Yesterday, the Monteria team gave a lesson on how to play good baseball, defeating Tigres 13-4, leaving them only 6 games away from the remainder of the championship to enter the play-offs through the front door. Meanwhile, Toros is not giving up, after defeating Leones 6-0 and 3-2, in a double header, to maintain their latent hopes of qualifying.

Tiburones reach the final third of the game with a comfortable lead over Leones
The Rivals play a crucial game which could be the decisive one of the regular round.
Tiburones de La Guaira and Leones del Caracas face each other for the last time in the season to see who will advance to the wildcard series
Pedro Avila relieved for the Tiburones in the 6th tossed 1.2 innings, gave up 3 hits and a walk but escaped without giving up any runs. Avila ko'd one.
Gabe Arias paying first base. No errors. heading into the 9th. Gabe continues to struggle this week. After yesterdays game, an 0 fer 3 game dropped his average below .300 for the first time this winter season at .299. The skid continues tonight 0-4 with a walk and a run scored. Average falls to .287.

The Tiburones de La Guaira fought against all odds and have just completed the sweep in the mini series against Leones del Caracas, to force a matchday, which could be against Leones or against Tigres de Aragua.

Pedro Castellanos led the coastal offense, while left-hander Tyler Alexander did a great job on the mound, so that they beat the capital team 7-4 at the Monumental Simón Bolívar stadium.

Summary:

La Guaira made the difference from the very first inning with a solo home run by Pedro Castellanos, then they scored two more in the top of the second and a remarkable rally of four runs in the fifth, tipped the balance in one direction.

For his part, Alexander tied up the maned bats, who scored only one run in their five-game effort and it was unearned.

The game went into the ninth inning 7-1, however, Caracas did not want to give up so easily and got closer 7-4, thanks to a home run by Harold Castro, but it was too late and their situation became a little more complicated.
