I know you're right, J.R. But as I said, I am probably completely full of it but can't help but wonder if he's not pitching through some aches and pains others do. After his last so called injury to his elbow either Tito or Callaway came out and said that, as I've mentioned.

Wouldn't shock me if he sees shape of starting rotation come October and gets healed.

That would be a pleasant surprise!

Indians promote Adam Plutko and DFA TJ House.

Plutko pitched very well at Akron and was promoted to Columbus. He got shelled for 6 earned in his last start for them against Louisville but prior to that he had been on a nice stretch of starts. Like a half dozen good games in a row.

He'll give us a guy who can start or long relieve down the stretch. Not eligible for playoff roster tho I don't believe.

Testing, testing: Danny Salazar, who strained the flexor muscle in his right forearm on Sept. 9 against the Twins, played catch at 60 feet Tuesday. It's the first time he's played catch since being shut down for 10 days and receiving a PRP (platelet rich plasma) injection.

If the Indians make the postseason, pitching coach Mickey Callaway said, "There is a small chance he could be in our bullpen."

Tribe's Salazar long shot to pitch again this season

The diagnosis for Salazar's injury called for 10 days of rest and three or four weeks of throwing before he could pitch in games again.

"This was just to shake the cobwebs off," said Francona. "He'll do roughly the same thing on Wednesday. Then we'll see how he feels."

Asked about the possibility of Salazar being able to pitch "down the road," Francona said, "You're always hoping for the best. I know the No.1 priority is to get him healthy and feeling good. If it ends up being more than that, boy, that would be wonderful."

That is from article I posted yesterday. Doesn't change way I feel a bit. Will not be surprised to see him starting games in the playoffs, in the division round. Will actually be disappointed if he doesn't cause I actually expect it.

How ironic, day after Terry announces he may go with some sort of Frankenstein rotation for playoffs Salazar decides to throw long toss and see how arm feels. Danny putting big boy pants on.
