Lucroy still hasn't officially waived his no-trade clause, but have sense the deal will happen. Mejia, Chang, Allen, Armstrong in package.

Feels like if CLE is going this far, can't stop now. 3B/OF corners are still weak. Doesn't require a star. Pearce? Reddick? Beltran?

Cody Allen: "It breathes a lot of life into the clubhouse. ... [Miller] is the perfect guy to have, and we got him."

The Indians did not "gut" their farm system in either deal. They used a lot of their depth, but they still have most of their top guys

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Yankees have acquired Tyler Clippard from the Diamondbacks.
Smart move for Yankees, new setup guy for their new closer, superstud Betances.
Not that we care, but Yankees, between Chapman trade, Miller trade, have really reloaded intelligently.

Well F*(< him then. He can watch the WS from his couch instead of playing in it with us.
Funny Wikipedia already changed to him playing for the Indians.

This guy is beat writer for Brewers and one who broke story ...
Tom – @Haudricourt
Jonathan Lucroy has exercised his no-trade clause and vetoed trade from #Brewers to Indians. Details to come.

He says the Brewers GM is going to explain it to the press soon so we'll find out. But my guess is he wanted a big extension and the Indians told him no. Well, at least that's what my man said ...
Indians Prospective
One issue I'm hearing is that Lucroy is asking & wants a long-term extension from #Indians & then he will agree to deal if parameters fit.
He tweeted that last night.

If not Norris (catcher), then go get another bat. Without surrenduring anything major.
A Reddick, a Beltran type.
If catcher ends up still being an offensive black hole, another bat is the next logical step.

This makes sense:

My guess is Lucroy wanted club option for '17 declined for waiving no trade clause. Tribe didn't want to give up that much for rental.
We know the Tribe hates rentals. Beltran different, would be cheaper.

As I was saying. This is not dead. Brewers-Indians have invested too much into this. Let's see what happens.
