HB - these are your kinds of moves!

That said, perhaps the reason they were conservative in the offseason was so that they could "put all those chips in" at the deadline just in case the stars aligned!

And with that rotation, and some surprise seasons from unexpected sources, they have aligned.

Maybe the Cleveland Gods have responded to the Cavs exorcism.

Wow! There goes the farm system! I guess I'll have to pay more attention to the major leagues. Poor Lynchburg, just lost the guts of a great team. Mejia and Chang are favorites of mine from way back, well 2 years ago anyway. I would have rather given Zimmer and kept Frazier, he's going to be very good.

Ummm, maybe a snag here?

Andrew Miller - R - Yankees

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Indians have acquired Andrew Miller from the Yankees.

Interestingly, Rosenthal also adds that it's possible the Tribe will get both Jonathan Lucroy and Miller but it's also possible the deal for Miller might signify a snag with the Lucroy trade.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Yankees will be receiving outfield prospect Clint Frazier, pitching prospect Justus Sheffield and others in the deal. For what it's worth, neither of those prospects were in the reported Lucroy trade. Miller will take over the ninth inning from Cody Allen, who slides into a setup role.

CLE trades about winning in'16. As they reset for '17, however, they have the option of flipping Miller, Lucroy into market, recouping value

Interesting that Sheffield, reportedly on his way to NY in Miller deal, was CLE's draft compensation for losing Ubaldo Jimenez in 2014.
