Last year I predicted 72, a modest improvment over the 69 wins two year ago. I was wrong. The 30-15 start didn't last but they still won 80 last year with ACab having a career year and a bullpen that was very good late in games.

I think this year the wheels come off early and the Tribe rides on the rims the whole season.

68 wins.

My intervals were too large, but now they are seemingly acceptable.

I'm on 81-81, and hoping to be very wrong.

What does he know that we don't? Ubaldo was just playing with us in ST and will back in first half 2010 form and win the Cy Young? Choo will balance out his sub-sub-par 2010 with a over-over-par 2012 and win the MVP? Lindor will fly through four levels of the minors and land in Cleveland in August and win ROY based on 2 stupendous months? And after Lindor arrives we deal Asdrubal for pitcher who joins UJ and JM to lead us down the stretch??????

Loufla:

Justification not required, but since I would like to share in your optimism, I would like to know its basis.

Well I guessed 82 last year and I think if injuries are not forthcoming we should improve.

I must admit the actions of players during the Spring has me worried.

Well, I'm sure we'll win 54, and positive we'll lose 54. I'm just not sure yet what we'll do with the other 54. .... But this time of year I am always optimistic. .... 88 wins!

Which is the good thing about baseball: no other sport do you know you are going to win 1/3 of your games; and certainly in no other sport do you know you're going to win so many of them. Every day a win is possible. I don't think the word "upset" is almost ever appropriate to describe a baseball outcome.

Who is most responsible for the Indians poor record?

Acta is out, Santos is in. Does this solve the problem?

So far rationality is prevailing. Is Mike Sopp still a member here. He is one who could sway it back to fantasy land.

They players are the only ones that win or lose.

You can't shine shit.

The owner, the front office and the manager are responsible for what you see on the field but do not win or lose games.
