While looking for info on Soler, came across this:

That kind of offense if repeated on a regular basis would be a pretty nice boost. But I'm still not interested in trading Carrasco for anyone. Maybe Salazar if we can count on his arm injuries recurring.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman is reporting that trade talk for the Reds' Todd Frazier is really starting to heat up.

The Indians needed to improve the bottom half of their lineup, and all they have to show for that is Cowgill. They need to find a way to utilize the farm system to trade for some major league-ready bats and hold onto all of their young starting pitchers.

And then are Robbie Grossman and Shane Reynolds who don't count for much.

But when you look at those monster deals some teams are making it's clear the Indians are in a different league.

Todd Frazier - 3B - Reds

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that the Indians, White Sox, Royals, and Dodgers are all interested in a possible trade for Reds third baseman Todd Frazier.

We've heard most of these teams before, as CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported on Monday that the Indians and White Sox "seem most heavily involved." The Reds are willing to discuss anybody this winter and Frazier might be their best trade chip at this point.

The 29-year-old slugged 35 home runs this past season and is under team control for two more seasons.

OK, a right handed, power hitting, third baseman. That checks all 3 boxes for things the team desperately needs.

So I would trade Bauer for him in an instant.

I would hesitate, but then trade Salazar for him. Would be painful but it takes pain to get something like a Frazier.

Not Carrasco, at least not straight up. Would need more, but of course the devil's in the details so that probably would never fly.

There are also the intangibles. We all know Frazier would instantly be the face of this organization. Maybe the co-face with Brantley, but Michael is the quiet guy.

So yeah, that's my take.

since I don't know anything about the National League, I don't know who this guy is, but his stats look good. The only baseball Frazier I'm aware of is Clint. I also recall Walt but he played a different game.

So Pete keeps betting on baseball and continues to deny established facts about his betting years back. Quite a hitter, a little lacking in some other qualities.

Frazier is kind of like the present day Sean Casey in that he has that "mayor" personality. Everyone loves this guy.

Personally, I do think the Tribe would deal a starting pitcher for him instantly, EXCEPT he has only 2 more years of team control. They might like to know how open he is, right NOW, to an extension. It's their style.
