Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation for US election hacking

Friday 30 December 2016 02.47 EST

The Obama administration on Thursday announced its retaliation for Russian efforts to interfere with the US presidential election, ordering sweeping new sanctions that included the expulsion of 35 Russians.....

In a statement issued two weeks after the president said he would respond to cyber-attacks by Moscow “at a time and place of our choosing”, Obama said Americans should “be alarmed by Russia’s actions” and pledged further action.......

“I have issued an executive order".......

“Using this new authority, I have sanctioned nine entities and individuals: the GRU and the FSB, two Russian intelligence services; four individual officers of the GRU; and three companies that provided material support to the GRU’s cyber operations. “In addition, the secretary of the treasury is designating two Russian individuals for using cyber-enabled means to cause misappropriation of funds and personal identifying information.” He also announced the closure of two Russian compounds in the US.......

Obama added that more actions would be taken, “some of which will not be publicized”.

[ Trump and his Trumped up administration continues to defend Russia and Putin wanting to lift the sanctions listed above. Now we can understand why. SAD!  ]

Mueller: Trump Team Meddling In Obama Diplomacy Extended Beyond Flynn

Flynn has now admitted that in a voluntary Jan. 24 interview with FBI he made false statements about a push by the Trump transition team to persuade officials from a foreign government to delay or defeat a United Nations Security Council vote on a resolution to condemn Israeli settlements. Flynn also has admitted he lied to FBI agents about a previously reported conversation he had with the ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, on Dec. 29 about sanctions the Obama administration was imposing on Russia at the time...................

The biggest bombshell, however, is that Flynn was by no means a rogue freelancer in his efforts to undermine the Obama administration’s diplomacy; by Flynn’s own admission, other members of Trump’s transition team had condoned and even encouraged his backchannel communications.

Kushner handed over documents this week to special counsel Robert Mueller.

Is Jared Kushner next to be indicted in Russia investigation?

.....Despite the interest in Kushner, who is also a White House adviser, sources described as close to the White House told CNN that Kushner is not the target of the investigation, which raised questions as to who might be the target as the investigation reaches into President Trump’s inner circle......

Republicans rewriting tax bill hours before possible vote

Senate GOP leaders are still making major changes to the plan in order to win over several hold-outs.

Senate Republicans are frantically re-writing their massive tax overhaul to win over wavering senators just hours before a potential vote.

GOP leaders had hoped to pass the bill late Thursday night or early Friday morning, but were forced to delay action after a ruling by the Senate parliamentarian threw out a crucial provision to prevent hundreds of billions in deficit spending. But in good news for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Steve Daines (R-Mont.), two holdouts, said they would back the bill Friday morning after getting assurances the bill would change to their liking.......

Democrats were given a 500+ page report of the tax bill and given 25 minutes to review and vote on the bill. The rewriting of the tax bill wasn't even type written. The revisions were made in the margins. A video shows the pages that were hand written were not even legible in most cases.

What's the rush with such an important document that effects millions of Americans? Tax reforms could take years to approve going through the proper channels. What's the rush? What democracy won't allow the time of opposing parties to debate the issues? STINKS!

Reminds me of those movies where those under investigation are subpoenad to provide all their documents. They come into the offices in banker's boxes with all of them being redacted. Good luck!

YOUR TAX BILL FOLKS

I was just handed a 479-page tax bill a few hours before the vote. One page literally has hand scribbled policy changes on it that can’t be read. This is Washington, D.C. at its worst. Montanans deserve so much better.

I erred. 479 pages, not 500+ but who's counting? At the time, the Dems were given the bill 25 minutes beforehand and had a whopping 2 hours to read and vote.

"This labor market is still really firing on all cylinders," says Scott Anderson, chief economist at Bank of the West in San Francisco.

But wages took a step back. They grew only 2.4% in October compared with a year earlier, behind September's number.

The absence of better wage growth and inflation is one of the biggest mysteries in the economy.

The United States has added jobs for 85 straight months, the longest streak on record.

If my math is correct, 85-10=75. Does this mean that 75 months (6 1/2 years...85%) of jobs added came under the Obama administration and has continued to grow under the Trump administration these last 10 months?? Trump's on a roll. Looks like he will surpass Obama's rate of increase 100% to 85%.........Oh Gawd! 6 years from now???

One positive about the tax plan.......I'm looking forward to my wages increasing significantly next year ;) ;)
