558Yeah, I'll probably watch Moneyball.
Though I'm usually not big on historical fiction. I will wait for home release though, I would guess.

Wang Dalin was the winner of a "bee bearding" competition held in Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, China on Sunday. Dressed only in shorts and wearing goggles and nose plugs for protection, Dalin was able to attract 26.86kg of bees onto his body. Close competitor Lu Kongjiang could only manage 23kg.

562Our remaining dog is 14 1/2 and we are realistic about her future.
She is a Miniature Australian Shepherd, and I still get a chuckle as she tries to herd me a couple of times most days.
Her Mother was a working sheep dog in The Santa Cruz Mountains, south of here.
In the past she has full bodied thrust herself into my legs to get me to near what she wanted me to do.....or what she wanted to eat.
I had recently diagnosed her with hip dysplasia, but our vet today told us she has knee and back arthritis. No dysplasia.
He prescribed meds to give her comfort, as I requested.
After her first dose I felt an inclination to find some "Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds" as she obviously felt much much better and frisky.

Re: Idle Chatter
563TFISC- You should consider giving your dog Vitamin C with food and daily doses of liquid Glucosomine/Chondroitin.
Both seemed to help the dog I lost in April.

565Thanks, JC/RR
At present, she is enjoying her Bob Dylan themed regimen.
I remember laughing out loud a millisecond before going under before my achilles tendon surgery a few years ago.
The piped in music was playing "Everybody Must Get Stoned."
I do believe that homeopathic remedies might have value, so I will consult with Dr. Paws and Dr. Wolf. Her vets.
(Actually they are Dr. Paz and Dr. Wolfe, but the pronunciations are conveniently the same)
She's 14 1/2 so I am well prepared for her journey. My mission is to prep her and my loved ones.
It'll be OK.

Re: Idle Chatter
566JR, is that the westward side of Martha's Vineyard?
At present, that is my guess. I've never been all the way out on The Cape.
Otherwise I might be guessing Provincetown.

Re: Idle Chatter
567I would have been asleep earlier, but I caught a PBS feature on Irish music and the rise and influence in America.
Sinead O' Connor perhaps partially aside, it was a great watch.
I'm craving a Guinness from my fave dive Irish Bar in San Francisco.
I'm also craving Tribe wins.

The student surpassed her teacher this week in the World Series of Poker.
Erika Moutinho finished in 29th place in no-limit hold ‘em at the main event in Las Vegas, one spot ahead of her Bozeman-native boyfriend, Dave "Doc" Sands, a Bozeman High School graduate.
"I didn't expect to make it that far," said Moutinho, who was the last woman standing in the tournament, which had more than 7,000 competitors to start with.
While this was Moutinho's first time in the tournament and her first $10,000 buy-in, Sands is a professional poker player who has competed in the World Series four times. Sands was not hurt that his girlfriend of five years beat him.
"It's definitely a unique and interesting experience to have someone you love and care about at the table with you," he said. "I am so proud of her."
The couple met when they were studying abroad in Australia in college. Sands was playing online poker regularly, and the couple spent many nights talking while he played poker.
"I don't think either of us realized at that time that she was learning how to play when she watched me," Sands said. "It wasn't so much a teacher-student thing back then."
Sands first started playing poker in his freshman year at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., while he was studying international government.
After graduating in the top 2 percent of his class, Sands decided to play poker professionally. The career choice was a difficult one for his mother, Sally Sands, to accept.
"My husband and I are pretty conventional people, and I think I thought I knew what was best for him," she said. "We've seen how much he loves it now, and we've learned to trust him."
The two were placed at a featured table during the World Series broadcast. Dave's parents watched the whole event, ignoring the phone all day Monday.
"I'm incredibly proud of them, and I was the one who told him to get a 9-to-5 job," Sally said. "I'm in awe of both of them."
Dave has always had an ally in Moutinho, Sally said, and that helped him commit to poker as a career.
"Erika was always in his corner," she said.
They even enjoyed playing against each other at the main event-something Moutinho never thought would happen, she said. Because they know how the other thinks while playing poker, they had advantages over other players at their table.
"I was shocked when he came through the door and sat at my table," Moutinho said.
With the couple and one of Dave's friends in the mix, Dave said the game felt familiar.
"It felt like a nationally televised home game with a few people who aren't normally there," Dave said.
He said he was pleased with how the two played.
"The reality of a poker tournament is that there's only one winner and everyone else walks away disappointed," he said. "I think we both played a good game on and off the felt."
According to the World Series of Poker's website, both Sands and Moutinho received a $242,636 payout.
The couple lives in Las Vegas. They plan to return to Bozeman soon, just like they have done every year after the World Series.
"Montana's so beautiful and a nice place to relax," Moutinho said. "It's a good place to go after the tournament."

570SEA wins the prize! It was named Gay Head b/c it looks like a headwall, and "gay" used to mean "colorful," as in "don we now our gay apparel." They're called the Aquinnah Cliffs now, after the Indian tribe that owns the land (and charges to use the bathrooms there.)
