Tony on Brad Kaminsky. No, I'm thinking of Brad Komminsk. This is Scott Kaminsky, no let's try Rob Kaminsky.
Again he tells you way more than you want to read and repeats himself ad nauseum. His point is that Kaminsky was a No. 1 pick of the Cardinals. Has a great curve. Is kind of small which makes throwing his fastball downhill tough. And his curve is so good that he hasn't worked hard enough to refine the fastball. He'll be in Akron at age 21, which means he's moved along very quickly. He could be a mid-rotation starter, or maybe a reliever, depending on what he does with that fastball.

Since Tony write this up, of course he informs us that Brad, or Scott, or Rob [who's 5-11 190]
"is a very confident pitcher who is an intense competitor and a bulldog on the mound who really has no fear and will go after any hitter in any situation. He has a great makeup, is smart, really works hard to hone his craft, gives 110% all the time and is a very good teammate." all of which is pretty irrelevant.

More relevant: " he has been a very good groundball pitcher (career 1.73 GO/AO) and how hitters have had a hard time lifting the ball against him (3 HR in 227.0 IP"

only Columbus was rained out, Akron a winner behind Plutko as noted with a scoreless inning of relief from Feyereisen, a homer off Ben Heller. Frazier a double in 5 AB. Eric Stamets 2 singles, a steal, a walk. Zimmer single, double, 2 rbi, cs.

Sheffield Lynchburg debut: 3-4-2-1-1-4. He was long gone when game ended in the 13th Jordan Milbrath surrendering 8 runs. Catcher Sicnarf Loopstock relieved him and got the last 2 outs. Besides Allen's 4 hits, 3 each by Ivan Castillo [was a ss, now playing 3rd] and Daniel Salters, catcher who hit well in Mahoning Valley debut. One of my favorites and hoping for return to prospect status: Anthony Santander homered and singled twice; but not happy seeing at DH behind Paulino and Papi playing corner OF spots.

Captains won theirs in 10 innings. 18-year-old SS Willi Castro 3 hits, one a triple, and 2 rbi. Unlikely-to-be-a-prospect 1b Anthony Miller 3 hits, 2 of them doubles, and 3 rbi [hit 226 with K's well over 1/3 of his at bats in Arizona last year]. F Mejia batting cleanup with a couple hits and a rbi.

Columbus finally got a game in today, and take it 1-0 behind 5 innings by Mike Clevinger [that's 3 AAA starts, no runs allowed in his career], 6K; Armstrong fans the side in the 6th, Austin Adams 2 more in the 7th. Aguilar homer for the only run.

RubberDucks ahead 4-0 behind Michael Peoples in his AAA debut in the 5th innings. Big hit a 3 run homer by Todd Hankins.
Akron is undefeated in 2 completed games.

Lynchburg is 2-1 and has a 2-0 lead in the 4th. Greg Allen has drawn 2 walks, and has stolen 3 bases: that makes 6 for him already. Julian Merryweather another starter who has a shutout going; 4 2/3 innings, 3 hits, no walks, 6 strikeouts.
Bradley is hitless, but with no strikeouts today he only has 3 K in his first 12 plate appearances.

Lake County also with a 2-1 start scores 3 runs in the top of the first. Matt Esparza with the start. In MHV last summer he fanned 54 in 43 innings, only 3 starts.

Not surprisingly Greg Allen's 6 steals leads the Carolina League-- the runner up has 4.

Also Silento Sayles' 4 steals leads the Midwest League -- runner up has 2. Sayles was a baserunning superstar in Mississippi as a high schooler, had not until now perfected his pro running game; he totaled 25 in three seasons principally in short season ball including 6 in 10 tries in 2015.
