With a grand slam in the 7th, Zach Walters has two homers, six RBIs in 3rd game with @CLBClippers. http://atmilb.com/1ni3Uwu #Indians
OK, from a guy who hit 29 homers last year in AAA. Now that's cool.

Gaylord-I would defer to CIV if he wants to comment, but I would hope you could see J. Colon a starting pitcher, Shawn Armstrong a relief pitcher, and the SS in the wings Gonzalez, also Wolters if he is catching. Bring home a win!

Gaylord, their SS, Erik Gonzalez, and their closer, Shawn Armstrong, are about the only two left on their roster I look at. Lindor and Naquin got promoted.

I think some guy named Michael Bourn is there on a rehab assignment though...

It's Bark in the Park tonight, Gaylord!

Bring your pet to the park with you.

If you don't have one there is a pet rescue squad there so you can adopt a couple. :-)

Indians optioned RHP Danny Salazar to Triple-A Columbus.
The ink on the lineup card from Wednesday's game before the Indians demoted the 24-year-old again. Salazar allowed five runs over four innings in a loss to the Reds, but he had been pretty good in his previous three starts since being recalled on July 22. The Indians obviously feel he needs more work in the minors, though. He'll likely be back up when the rosters expand in September.

This guy is blossoming before our eyes!

Yan Gomes - C - Indians

Yan Gomes homered Wednesday to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.

Once defense is factored in, Gomes rates as one of the AL's best players so far this year. He's hitting .286/.327/.489 with 16 homers and 50 RBI in 350 at-bats, and the only AL catcher with a better OPS is Derek Norris, who neither catches as much nor as well as Gomes.

We brought back a win for the ducks!@ There were so many dogs!!!! And well-behaved! We hadn't been to an Akron game for a while. Lots of concession changes and I loved the duck prints in the crosswalk to the park!

I have looked through the artist renderings several times and notice one major thing is missing.

No smiling Chief Wahoo.

I see lots of script Indians and block C's. But no Chief Wahoo's.

Gutless wimps.
