Not surprising that you have been gone most of the summer. Next thing you will be saying that the Dolans had 5 errors today.
What a complete asshole !

The funny thing is that overall the bullpen has been one of best things about the Indians this season.

Giants gave up their #1 pitching prospect to get Beltran.
I doubt the Tribe offered Pomeranz.

They would have to be fricking nuts to offer Pomeranz for Beltran.
Beltran did not want to come here so it did not matter who the Indians offered.

I mentioned the Giants prospect to put what they gave up in perspective.
From both a personal and professional standpoint, why would Beltran take Cleveland over SF?

As to volleyball players. Really ?
I think I might be out of line.....upon reflection.....in dissing all Men Volleyball players.
From my personal frame of reference of youth sports, only girls played volleyball.
The only guys playing volleyball last time I watched were wearing speedos.
That was a while ago, and only for a few seconds.
My personal sports prowess was speed, agility and endurance. In years since I've sometimes regretted that soccer was not a bigger sport in my (our) day.
I recognize that "Men's Volleyball" may have a new place in society, but a true story is that some female High School teacher tried to recruit my male kid to her high school team as he was approaching 6 feet in 8th grade just a few years ago.
I told my wife I would sure not tell him "no." but I sure as heck would not encourage him.
Thanks goodness he's smart and earned the good current college scholarship.
Again as to Volley Ball, I personally found it to be the 2nd most excruciating part of my Ohio public school education only surpassed by Square Dancing.

A rare and hopefully obvious defense of The Tribe Brass, no frickin' way ever and in any combo was Beltran ever going to agree to come to Cleveland.

Cali:
Don't mind Rusty. He once had a family member play volleyball in the ghetto. It's a touchy subject with him.

Yep, I have a few relatives that have full scholarships to colleges playing volleyball.

Oh, no crap. I was just kidding.
Hey, whatever pays for your education. More power to 'em.

Kosuke Fukudome is batting sixth and playing right field for the Cleveland Indians against Kansas City. Fukudome, acquired from the Chicago Cubs for two minor leaguers Thursday, is batting .279 with three homers and 13 RBIs in 87 games this season
Sign of a week batting order: a guy with 13 RBI in 87 games is inserted in the 6 hole. I guess we're hoping he can lay down a squeeze bond and score Hafner.
Or maybe Manny Acta is a smart manager. Fuku's hitting 311 with an OPS of over 900 with RISP. Not too many chances, hitting leadoff in an NL lineup, but he was 14-45 for the Cubs with 19 RISP walks, which is quite a total: were those intentional walks for some reason? 11 rbi in those ab's. Might have been more if more than 4 of the hits were for extra bases.

Here's a REALLY BAD bottom 5/9 of a lineup:
O. Cabrera, 2B
K. Fukudome, RF
A. Kearns, LF
J. Hannahan, 3B
L. Marson, C
Perhaps Manny has decided to play defense tonight, not offense. Not sure how we can hope to score a run with this bunch, but anything's possilbe.

Better be able to score because the Indians are already 2 runs down. Butler with a 2 run homer in the first.
Hosmer just ripped a double. Carrasco with a tough start.

This lineup will be very hard pressed to outdo the effort of Wednesday let alone to score more than 2 runs.
