Certainly not me! Starting pitching has been surprising. Veteran talent has been unwilling to fold up and go home.

I had them down for 86 - 90 wins. We hit a serious bump in the road the last week or so. We lost some ground but we have a good opportunity to reverse that situation.

I had them for 71-75 and I guess I was pretty far wrong!

Long season. Time enough to finish strong or tank.

I'm guessing that Mrs. Shapiro and Mrs. Antonetti made the trip west to essentially San Francisco to see the Tribe Game in Oakland tonight.

Our "Cleveland writers" have hinted and hinted before that Shaps & Company rarely leave the comfy confines of their homes in Cleveland (!!!) to go watch the team play on the road to evaluate what they have signed and where they are going with what they have signed.

I hope Mrs. Shapiro and Mrs. Antonetti have a good time in San Francisco with their baseball retarded husbands, as I totally accept their insistence on making this trip.....start of school possibly factored in their decision, residents of Cleveland, or not.

Personally, I could show them a real good time in Oakland/San Francisco.

I know great steak places, great seafood places, and great bars tourists never find when visiting The City By the Bay.

Hmmm.....

Kansas City has taken the first two from Detroit this series to make the sphincters of Mark and Chris perhaps tighten a little this evening.

Actually, I doubt Mark and Chris even know the scores to this part of the evening.

Really.

I'm with KenM.

Dolan is a dumb arse.

GM Chris Antonetti will join team on West Coast : Cleveland Indians chatter

OAKLAND,Calif. --Seen and heard at o.Com Coliseum.

Terry Francona, who will be joined on this West Coast trip by GM Chris Antonetti, says it's not necessary for the Indians to make a deal by Aug. 31 to stay in the postseason race.Associated Press

Clubhouse confidential: GM Chris Antonetti joined the team Saturday night for the last leg of this three-city trip. After the Indians finish with Oakland on Sunday, they'll play a three-game series against the Angels before heading home.

I've posted multiple times before that the stadium the Angels play in is just a five minute drive from Disneyland, with no interstates or many turns necessary.

(I've also posted there are a couple of strip clubs in the immediate vicinity, though I'll admit I've not been in them....if one ever judges books by covers....they look good, at least as strip clubs go....and gee wiz they are close to Disney, Los Alamitos horse racing, and the Angels ball park)

I'm theorizing that Chris Antonetti has been heard many times before that people refer to him as a "Mickey Mouse" MLB General Manager.

MarieAntoinetti....I surmise.... is on a mission to find this Mickey Mouse guy others think he is modeled after, see what he can learn from him, and see if he knows what the frick can be done with the $25 million lead weights he owes to Swish and Cabs next season, and the infinity and beyond lightyear dollars inked to Swisher after that.

Mickey might offer a rendition of "Minnie the Moocher, offering that "Cabs" might like it:

I'm guessing MtFan thinks this an incoherent post.....

Rusty
will say I'm drunk.

Western PA root Pittsburgh shadow brethren. Go figure. Apples don't fall far from trees.

Future reality show material, perhaps.

I'm saying Shaps and MarieAntoinetti need to go before this franchise will ever see a post season again.

Someone who Civ has not blocked should tell him just to watch the vid of Cab Calloway...it is GREAT and timeless stuff.

Oh, and someone should go wake Dolan up.

Last year on this date, we were 54-69, 13.5 games back, with a "diff" of -129 runs
Today we are 68-58, 5.5 games back, with a "diff" of +36

Didn't realize that the COLLAPSE was already that bad by this date in 2012.

If you go here:

you can specify any date back to 2002.

Oakland lost today, so we are 3 games behind in the WC. But if the season ended now, we would be the "play-in" team.

I think it's pretty bleak for The Tribe for this season, Shapsonetti moving forward for future fandom duress unless someone kicks Dolan out of his comatose state.

I have TVG on.

That is a horse racing channel, for those who care or pay attention to detail.

At present, we have Joan Jett and "I Love Rock and Roll" here as the horsies run.

JR, why do you continue to delete my posts?

My posts and personal observations are honest.
