I remember back years ago before I had a computer at home, I would try to catch up on the weekend posts at work on Monday, about 200-300 posts.
I got to thinking about some of the members of the old forum. Do any of u from those bygone years know who "The Fly" was? Seemed to have inside info, and who was the gal who was such a stat freak. I think she was in college and disappeared after she graduated.
I think I found the forum in late "97.
And was that really Max Alvis? Somewhat arrogant and horny, as I recall.

KTT -

I seem to recall the "Fly" and Max Alvis. That was a while back. Wasn't the gal you mentioned from Iowa?? I can't remember her name. JR is the man to ask. We've lost most of our female companions.

Chris Perez charged with possession
Updated: June 7, 2013, 11:34 AM ET
Associated Press

CLEVELAND -- Police say Cleveland Indians closer Chris Perez, who is charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, told drug agents he had pot in his home for personal use and pointed out two jars.

The details were disclosed in reports released Friday by police in the Cleveland suburb of Rocky River.

The reports say police, tipped off to suspicious packages by postal inspectors, arranged a delivery Tuesday under surveillance and Melanie Perez accepted two packages.

According to the reports, a later house search under warrant began while Perez and his wife, also charged, were out for lunch and a movie. A baby sitter was caring for two children.

Police say Perez returned home and mentioned personal marijuana use.

Defense attorney Terry Gilbert says the two will plead not guilty and expect a favorable outcome.

That was LP, and the L stood for for Lindsey. She and HILLBILLY arranged our first forum reunion at Canal Park.

State your credentials and memories over the 16 years in more believable fashion.

Personally, I now have you as a pseudonym, or a troll.

Being a troll is not apparently welcomed here because I was banned from the Browns Board having watched that team since 1963 and perhaps being one of the few posters who was alive and watched for the NFL Championship Game we won in 1964.....though I am really pissed off about current ownership and management of the team and the past draft....and especially The City of Cleveland,

What the hell is wrong with Cali? I was on the various forums since late "97.
I am old enough to have watched the Browns win in "64. I also remember running home from school in "54 just to c Dusty Rhodes hit a 260 foot home run.
I believe I was originally Tntribe1, later Tad Zaquel. What's wrong with just reading the forum. Just think it's sad that so many people left or weren't invited to continue.
Thanks for the replies! It was Tuffkat I couldn't remember. I do remember the name couch potato.
Is Don still around?
Can't we all just get along?

My dad worked in Cleveland in the 40's but both parents were from Tn.
I grew up hearing about some of the old players my dad had seen. He told me one time he was on a train around Cleveland and ran into Cy Young. My dad was the most honest guy I have ever known and I believe him. He was easy to play a joke on because he trusted everyone.
Anyhow, my first tribe hero was Al Rosen. I remember he lost a triple crown, I believe in '53 because Micky Vernon won the batting title by 1 point.
As u know Rosen retired young, maybe 32 years old.
My next favorite player was the Rock. I was shocked and depressed when he was traded to the Tigers.
Herb Score was a favorite, of course.
I've forgotten a lot of the players over the years but remember they had an amazing pitching staff around '68. Unfortunately, so did just about ever other team. I believe they lowered the pitching mound after that season.
I believe Max Alvis and Vid D. were both rookies in '63. I remember watching the game of the week early in the season and I'm thinking Tony Martinez was also a rookie ss who didn't last long.
Ty Cline and Al Luplow of football fame. I've been around a while.

Yep. Joined with our young power arms McDowell and Siebert and Tiant in 64. That should be a championship ball club by the time I get to high school in '66

Once again, that TFISC is sharp as a tack !

Welcome knoxtntribe fan !

You can understand TFISC being a little concerned about anyone he perceives as new.

Thousands of new posters are trying to get on this site daily to read TFISC's tales of fantasy and bullcrap. They usually start off with a nubile young female who is laughing her arse off at the old drunk that is hitting on her and then he grabs a racing form and picks out a couple 100-1 winners and then gives her CPR after she passes out from meeting the self proclaimed next Charlie Sheen.
