Cleveland Indians Announce 2014 Spring Training Broadcast Schedule
Games will be broadcast on WTAM, WMMS, 99X and Indians Radio Network; SportsTime Ohio will air eight Spring Training games from Arizona
Final two exhibition games vs. Padres to be played at University of San Diego
Cleveland, OH – Sixteen Cleveland Indians Spring Training games will be broadcast on local radio and the Indians Radio Network and eight will be broadcast on flagship TV home SportsTime Ohio, the Indians have announced.
The Tribe’s Spring Training radio and TV schedules each include the team’s Spring Training opener, Wednesday, Feb. 26 against the Reds at Goodyear Ballpark. First pitch for the opener is scheduled for 3:05PM ET.
SportsTime Ohio will air eight games, including the second game of the Tribe and Reds’ Spring-opening, three-game series on February 27. SportsTime Ohio also will air games from March 9-13 and March 17.
Additionally, STO will air “All Bets Are Off” nightly Monday through Friday from 7-9PM, from February 24-March 28. Exceptions include Feb. 26 (6-9PM), Feb. 27 (6-9PM) and no shows March 4 and 7.
Longtime flagship radio station WTAM AM 1100 will broadcast 10 games, including the opener. Meanwhile, for the second year, some Indians Spring Training games also will appear on the FM home of the Indians, WMMS 100.7 FM. Three games will be broadcast on WMMS – Feb. 28 vs. Cincinnati, March 22 vs. Colorado and March 28 vs. the Padres at the University of San Diego.
Three others – March 7 vs. the Chicago Cubs in Mesa, March 14 vs. the White Sox in Glendale and March 23 vs. the Angels in Tempe – will air locally on 99X. After playing the Padres at University of San Diego on March 28 and March 29, the Indians travel to Oakland for a regular season-opening three-game series against the A’s on March 31-April 2. The Tribe then returns home for the team’s home opener on Friday, April 4, against the Minnesota Twins.
Single-game tickets will go on sale during the first week of March, with fans again this season saving the most on ticket prices the earlier they buy. Season Ticket packages, on sale now, offer Indians fans the lowest prices possible on Indians tickets for this season, plus access to Tribe Rewards, the club’s unique rewards program for our most loyal customers.
