What a lousy base running job by Fielder. He slid on the inside of home plate. A slide outside with a hand tag of the plate and he is safe.

The Indians are expected to decline Travis Hafner's $13 million club option for the 2013 season.
They'll instead opt to pay his $2.75 million buyout. He's battled a wide array of injuries over the past five seasons, averaging just 85 games per season. In his 10-year tenure with the Tribe, Hafner slugged 200 homers while slashing .278/.382/.509.

OMG, was this the contract that went on forever or what?? Big contracts have to be spent wisely, but you also have to be lucky. That one was NOT lucky. Good riddance!!!!

(Or, if you want to come back cheap, fine. But nothing worse than taking up that kind of contract space with a virtually useless guy)

Shilling is a first-class scumbag that fleeced the State of Rhode Island for over 100 million bucks.

The State of Massachusetts wanted no part of his computer game company...too risky. But the jock-sniffing Governor and Legislature in Rhode Island fell for the con. Shilling lived the life fantastic and spent all the money. The state will be lucky to get a million or two back as the bankrupcy proceeds.

The Breeders Cup starts on Friday. I'll be wagering actively on Saturday. Breeders Cup payouts are regularly way larger than normal due to the action and the mix of horses on The All Star days of horse racing.

No disrespect to Santos, but why would a team, other than the Indians, hire him as a manager? He has six days as a manager at any level.

Nice guy...in the good o'l boy network...but so far, is lucky to have a job...any job.

No team wanted Sandy as manager. That includes the Indians.
