Considering what happened to those two i.e. end of career, Bo's descent is foreboing
2023 237/339/470 [809]
2024 201/264/350 [614]

Same lineup you didn't like starting again today. Same guys available on the bench to make the difference.
I'm not expecting much from Williams but he certainly has the ability to pitch a solid 5 innings.

Only person I do not agree with is Schneeman. Of the three choices for RF he is the weakest defender and arm. Hope for the best but I would rather see Noel (Hey Vogt Christmas hit the home run off a right handed pitcher ) Brennen and then Schneeman.
Hedges is needed behind the plate and to try to calm the pitchers down and block the plate. Good to see we got 2 hits from the catcher spot.

Hard to do but take the time to enjoy the game tonight because it might be the last one for four months. Been a great and thrilling ride this year. Every team except 4 teams would love to be down 3-1 with 3 possible games. Got to think positive and give your best shot. Unbelievable that a starting staff that I think only has one 5 inning start is still in this series.

: No Cleveland starting pitcher has earned a win in any of the Guardians’ nine postseason games in 2024. That’s the longest start-of-postseason streak in MLB history, breaking the record of eight set by the eventual World Series champion Marlins in 2003.

Is it time to retool our "pitching factory?" McKinzie, Allen, and Williams all counted on to be the bulk of the rotation all regressed! All for the same control issues! I hope the Guards can sign Boyd, and Cantillo also looks promising. Who knows what will happen with Bieber, hopefully resign him. Can't do a bullpen game every game. Lively was a good find but sorry Carlos was just past the hill.
As to the Naylor's, would a big contract help Josh? He just never seemed happy. Bo, well, for a catcher hitting under the Mendoza line a 14% throw out rate isn't going to cut it. If Fry's arm can sufficiently heal I would rather see him and Hedges behind the plate.
Can Noel be taught to be a man-mountain like Judge? He needs more plate discipline.
Can Thomas be signed (how wrong could I have been!)
What is up with Giminez?
And how often can Tom Hamilton say "your stars need to play like stars in the playoffs". Josie certainly not on the same level as Judge, Soto, and Stanton.
Long season when it ends like this. Can it be repeated next year?
