Stephen Vogt knows what the Rockies and Coors Field can do to a pitching staff. He’s seen it first hand as a catcher for 10 years in the big leagues.

It’s the main reason Eli Morgan joined the Guardians before Tuesday night’s game. Morgan was activated after being on a rehab assignment for Class AAA Columbus, Xzavion Curry was optioned to Columbus to make room on the 26-man roster.

This from the Guardians’ game notes.

Cleveland pitchers have thrown a higher percentage of breaking balls (35.3%) this year than at any time since the Statcast Era began in 2015. Only San Diego (36.7%) and Oakland (39.7%) have thrown a higher percentage of breaking balls. . .

Jose Ramirez has driven in at least one RBI in the last six games to tie a career high. . .

Steven Kwan (left hamstring) was scheduled to play left field for Columbus on Tuesday. “He’s trending very well,” said Vogt. “He’s got a few more boxes to check before we can think about him coming back. But he’s trending well.”. . .

Gavin Williams (right elbow) is scheduled to go two innings in his first rehab start for Columbus on Wednesday.

4 homers produced 10 runs. This is not last year's Guardians. Or the scratch them out one run at a time fun 2022 Guardians.
Not to say they can't hit situationally: the first two scored on sac flies, the Guardians' speciality.

Not all perfect in the bullpen: Sandlin walked a couple, Herrin let them score.
But Cade Smith to the rescue and Gaddis followed with another perfect inning.
