3. Mike Fiers was the whistleblower
In a bombshell report published by The Athletic in November, right-hander Mike Fiers, who pitched for the Astros from 2015-17, gave an on-the-record account of how the Astros crossed the line. "That's not playing the game the right way," he said at the time. "They were advanced and willing to go above and beyond to win."
8. League conducted exhaustive investigation
According to a report released last December, Astros personnel admitted to MLB that the club used a center-field video camera to rely pitching signs in real time. MLB's months-long investigation started shortly after The Athletic's report and it covered the 2017, 2018 and 2019 seasons. Investigators interviewed 60 witnesses and gathered 76,000 emails related to the Astros sign-stealing scheme.
Tribe's 2018 record against Houston:
Regular Season
Overall: 3-7 --- Runs for Cleveland 3.5 Runs Against 6.6
Home: 2-3 --- Runs For 5.0 Runs Against 9.0
Away: 1-4 --- Runs For 2.0 Runs Against 4.2
Playoffs 0-3 --- Runs For 2.0 Runs Against 7.0

JOSH DONALDSON
3B, ATLANTA BRAVES
MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reports that free agent third baseman Josh Donaldson has agreed to a four-year contract with the Twins.
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic hears that there will be $92 million in guaranteed money and a fifth-year option that can push the total value to $100 million. Donaldson will make $84 million over the first four years and the option is worth $16 million with an $8 million buyout. The 34-year-old slugger also reportedly had four-year offers on the table from the Nationals and Braves, but Minnesota presumably came in with the largest total compensation in order to seal the deal. Donaldson registered a .900 OPS with 37 home runs and 94 RBI over 155 regular-season games last year for Atlanta and should deliver a big boost to the Twins' already-powerful lineup in 2020 and beyond. Miguel Sano, who just inked a three-year, $30 million contract extension with the reigning American League Central champions, is now expected to slide over to first base.

Earlier today on social media Mike Clevinger said this cheating is worse than steroids. You can see why he is right above.

Red Sox placed 2B Dustin Pedroia (knee) on the 60-day injured list.
Pedroia is still incapacitated by a left knee injury that has kept him out of action for years. He played only three games in 2018 and six in 2019. Pedroia suffered a "significant setback" with the knee last month and has not yet reported to spring training. The 36-year-old former star is unlikely to ever be worthy of fantasy rosters again.

Lonnie Chisenhall has retired from baseball, J.J. Smith of the Cataret County News-Times reports.
Chisenhall returned to his hometown to have his high school number retired and explained to reporters he has stepped away from the game. He was unable to take the field in 2019 after battling calf strains in both legs and was a free agent at the time of this report. Chisenhall played eight years in the majors, recording a .268/.320/.427 line with 64 career home runs.

It's got to be really tough for a young athlete's body to fail him. Lonnie was beginning to make a success of a doubtful career.
