What if Rocchio being brought up leads to Rosario being traded to the Dodgers ?

he's on the bench today. Arias at SS. Rosario and Freeman both out for a few days.
Gaddis and Pilkington back to Columbus,
Perhaps Curry gets the ball the next time a 5th starter is needed. Perhaps Bibee will be here by thn?
Battenfield will get some more starts until McKenzie or Civale returns.

Good opportunity for Spencer Turnbull to bring his ERA down from 8.16 today. He's started out with a couple scoreless hitless innings vs. the red hot Guardian lineup

G's win another 1 run squeaker.
You can talk about all the infield singles, bloop doubles, the stolen bases and all the walks they draw but this team needs to score RUNS.
In the 27 innings against the Toothless Tigers, they scored in 2 of them. Thank you, Jose.
Got to do better.

To clear space for Logan Allen to make his debut today, the Guardians optioned infielder Tyler Freeman to Triple-A and designated catching prospect Bryan Lavastida for assignment.

Great first 5 innings for Logan Allen...and to see Joseee and Josh Bell (add in Amed) finally heat up is good to see.

After his first couple weeks, Bell has done great at the bat. 8 doubles and 2 homers in his last 11 games.

Lavastida had a fine 2021 but nothing since. I didn't think he'd stick on the roster for long.

Now that he's a major leaguer, I;ll repost Logan Allen's preseason scouting report from Baseball America. They had him ranked Cleveland's Number 5 prospect and also the Number 5 Left handed starter in all of the minors.
Track Record: Allen was one of the organizations' breakout prospects in 2021. After a decorated amateur career, he wasted no time making his mark in pro ball, rocketing to Double-A in his first season. His 2022 wasn't quite as spectacular. He reached Triple-A Columbus but struggled with his command.
Scouting Report: Allen stands out for his feel and competitiveness on the mound, with the knocks on him being his size and lack of a big arm. His fastball velocity has ticked up in the last couple years, and he now works in the low 90s. The pitch plays up thanks to some deception in his delivery and his ability to locate it to all four quadrants of the strike zone. Allen's best pitch is his changeup, which is a plus offering and is a weapon he can use against hitters on either side of the plate. His slider has long lagged behind his other two pitches, though it does have the potential to be an average offering. Allen added a cutter in 2022, which benefited both his fastball and slider, giving hitters another hard offering to account for at the plate. His control was among the best in the 2020 draft, and that transferred to pro ball, where it showed plus. In Triple-A, Allen's walk rate increased as more mature hitters chased his stuff out of the zone less often. His control remains plus and he repeats his delivery well, but he'll have to learn to adjust against better opposition.
The Future: Allen's experience at Triple-A showed he still has some necessary refinements to make. Breaking into the Guardians' rotation isn't easy--especially with their crowded 40-man roster situation--but Allen should be ready to make his major league debut in 2023. Without another tick up in stuff, his ceiling is somewhat limited, but he can be a solid big league starter.
Scouting Grades: Fastball: 50. Slider: 50. Cutter: 55. Changeup: 60. Control: 60

facing another lefty with an ERA over 12. that's the way to beat this team. This is the worst performance yet. But we May June July August and September yet to play

Q is attempting to make himself expendable. By the end of the summer the rotation should be Bieber McKenzie Allen Bibee and Williams.
But it really won't matter who pitches with this offense.

Quantrill screwed up the pitching plans; Curry was supposed to start Wednesday but had to go 3 innings in relief.
Now they'll have to bring up Pilkington; or rush Bibee up a little sooner than intended which requires cutting someone off the 40 man roster
