Q is out after giving up 3 more hits and tying run and leaves two on base. Maton comes in with the opportunity to clear them off.

and Bradley ties it up again with his 8th homer in his 74 times at bat. That's pretty good!

behind again; back and forth; I'm glad this game will only go 7 innings rather than 9 before we enter extra innings

Fiasco.

The revenge of the Tigers.

A manager once said "It's now who you play but WHEN you play them" that counts.

Even against Detroit starting Quantrill and Logan Sr. could result in anything.

The opener the loss was due to poor work by the second tier in the bullpen.

The nightcap was due principally to the absence of most of our hitters. Startling lineup included 5 guys who started the season in Columbus, Chang, 2 Rosarios and Hernandez. The only guys available to pinch hit off the bench were two more who have played most of the season in Columbus.

I think our current No. 1 starter [JC Mejia] is on tab tonight. Someone must be number 1 and none of the others has a 6 inning 1 run start to his credit. Of course the game before he gave up 5 runs in the first

Summary is that Mejia's misplay of a bunt led to a meltdown. Really he actually pitched well up until then.

Youth.

The Astros' lineup is too good to be that careless.

And Eli Morgan today. And against the Astros killer lineup.

This is where it all catches up to them. You can cut and paste your pitching together for awhile but you can't run these types into games with lineups like the Astros have. They will continue to eat AA-AAA type pitchers up.

I'm hoping it goes quickly.

New way to lose on Monday.

Step 1:
A terrible start by a minor leaguer

Steo 2:
Surprising offensive surge

Step 3:
3 of 4 relievers surrender runs with our almost All Star co=closer getting no one out to end it

Great to see Franmil back and hitting quite well!

Claase and Karinchak certainly will be able to use the all star BREAK.

They got Game No. 1 out of the way quickly.
As usual the starter didn't make it through 3 innings.
Daniel Johnson returns and stretches his futility to 12 At Bats.
DJ Johnson a veteran lousy reliever is added to the overworked bullpen; [they had to release someone else to make room for him, I wonder who, will find out in a moment.]
