Rosario in center today. He makes sense as a leadoff hitter unlike his fellow CF on this team.

and he leads off with a single which equals the hit total of CF in first 5 games. And by the end of the inning a Reyes homer has the Indians up 3-0

Tigers are trying the strategy that has usually worked so far this year, going with a starter who a godawful 2020. 34 year old lefty Derek Holland went 1-3 6.86 and came in today 14.54 in a couple 2021 relief appearances.

It wasn't intentional Julio Tehreran who beat the Tribe last year for his first win since 2019 last week had a sole shoulder warming up.

Wonder why Luplow didn't start in center? Not that I really care.

one of my favorite Tiger pitchers Buck Farmer comes in in the 3rd. Career split line vs Farmer 271/368/488.
Earlier in his career he was absolutely dreadful vs. the Tribe but has been OK in recent seasons But back in the groove last week yielding 2 runs in an inning.

Oh, and Amed Rosario with a very nice play in CF. Considering his opposition for CF just put him there and get on with it.

I don't like the idea of platooning shortstops although some days off for giminez makes sense I'd probably prefer Chang back him up but of course he'll be busy platooning with bauers until he's put out of our misery
