Dan O'Dowd - "I'm a Gimenez guy".

Seems Tito was a quick convert as well.

Works for me.

On the pitching side, as much as we all loved Cookie he was no longer a young guy. Fingers crossed for Logan Allen and Triston.

Look this is a blatant "re-load" season but if they can still be fun and interesting to watch you can see the future unfolding quite nicely.

Kind of a classic 2020s day at the plate for the Outfielders and 1bman: A. Rosario 0-3 Mercado 1-4 Naylor 0-3 Bauers 0-2.

Gose ERA balloons from 0 to 13.50 on a yield of 6 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks and no one retired. Maybe some AAA time would be OK
Clase 3 up 3 down
Plutko 1 inning 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk. I guess they keep him around in the pen but he's had a lousy spring, 9 hits 2 walks 2 homers 5 runs in 6 innings.

Another loss but that doesn't signify.

Good 5 inning outing by Pleasc with a typical Indians starter's 4 K and no walks.
perfect inning for Karinchak with 2 k
perfect inning for Maton with 1k
hitless inning for Stephen with a walk
3 runs off O Perez who has not looked good

Gamel single and double; Johnson 3 singles; does either have a chance to make the team? Zimmer hitless.
Rosario hitless but he didn't drop anything so major step forward
Bradley hitless with 2K.
Hedges 3K in 3 tries. Boy he's an awful hitter, 2-25 with 14 strikeouts this spring

Gotta say I love Gamel making this team. He just seems such a tough at bat.

Does it matter that they lose every day in Arizona?

2 run homer and 1 other run off Civale in 4 innings.
solo homer off Clase
perfect inning for Gose
perfectly awful 1/3 inning for Parker, 3 hits, 2 walks 4 runs
Shaw 2 hits in a scoreless inning.

Back to normal in the outfield and 1b:

Mercado 3 K in 3 tries hitting 214 OPS 527
E Rosario 0-2 with an rbi hitting 133 OPS 295. He's really fitting in nicely
JNaylor 0-3 hitting 184 OPS 526
Bauers 0-3 with an error. He's definitely wrapped up the 1st base job hitting 143 OPS 595 due to a bunch of walks

perfectly awful 1/3 inning for Parker, 3 hits, 2 walks 4 runs

This is a PERFECT example of why spring training game RECORDS mean nothing. So often you put in one scrub pitcher and that game is decided. Oh, and you never hear of the pitcher again either.

Individual performances count for the Bradleys, Gamels, Gose, Mercado, Logan Allens of the world. That pretty much it though - individual performances.

Oh, and Quantrill. He pitched himself out of the rotation today.

Today's lineup another example. The White Sox with their starting lineup in there and the Tribe with various minor leaguers playing them.

Make a note - Luplow playing today finally. He hit one waaay out of the ballpark barely foul near the left field pole.

Quantrill locks up the 5th spot in the rotation for Logan Allen Complete mess of a spring worsens: 4 in the first, 2 in the second, just one walk in the third: issued to briefly an Indian Billy Hamilton, who the WhiteSox are now looking at.

i guess Dylan Cease has been hurt? His first outing of the spring, 3 2/3 shutout innings vs the mighty Indians bats.
Luplow with his first start in an "A" game I believe; Bradley has a single in two trips;

Zimmer walked and hit by a pitch in his first 2 times at the plate. Until Rosario is ready for center field, or until they get Daniel Johnson gets some time in center, the job appears to be Zimmer's. Bat him ninth and be happy with his defense and who knows perhaps he's able to do something useful at the plate. His avg is a fine 308, yet he has only one extra base hit, a double, he's zero for two in steals; his strikes are for him not bad, less than half of his outs.

civ - this rule 5 guy Trevor Stephan strikes out all 4 he faces!

Spring training really counts for Rule 5 guys and this guy is killing it.

By the way don't forget Gamel. He is in CF today, perhaps he is the man there.

OK, I'll say it. This team stinks.

So far, nothing much to like.

About time somebody put the Kiss of Life on these guys.

Karinchak charged with an unearned run, 3 K 1 walk in his inning.
Parker has not pitched well, but did today, 3 K and a walk in his inning.
Gose 2 K, 2 walk in his inning

Bauers continues his quality passivity with 2 walks in 3 plate appearances.
Reyes 3rd homer
Hermandez is so solid we don't need to note his 3 hits including a homer

OF's on display:

E Rosario 0-3 hitting 121
H Ramirez 1-4 hitting 214
Zimmer 2 run double, 2 strikeouts, htting 308
Gamel 0-1 hitting 259
