Of course I know Cesar Hernandez is not the player Lindor is. That said....

Take that Lindor money and shell out just a little (2 years, $10 million?) to Cesar Hernandez and go from there.

Cesar is a keeper! That little shit can play - both sides of the ball too. He is a professional hitter and 2B.

Totally agree! Lindor is too deep into where he is going, and not where he is today. Cesar hits all over the field. We need more Cesars, and maybe found one in Naylor????

One day doesn't prove anything, but Naylor was getting a little better over the past few weeks. And from my perspective his small percentage of strikeouts is a good sign; unlike Naquin and Zimmer he either knows what's in the zone [but he doesn't walk too often] or isn't fooled. He's only 23 so lots of time to improve and perhaps develop into what he's projected to be. Zimmer is closing in on 27; Naquin is 29 in the midst of his "peak" years.

The back of the bullpen: Wittgren [up and down lately], Karinchak [mostly on his game] and Hand [he's been as steady as Bieber had been] all had the day off. And McKenzie could be helpful in late inning relief too.

Let's try something unusual and score some runs early and work with a lead. Yankees' bullpen has not been as tough as promoted, but Chapman and Britton are pretty tough to pull off rallies against like we did last week.

Certainly a positive note is that Naylor continued to be a very real bat as you said above civ after game 1.

And Jose Ramirez?? Wow, this guy is other worldly. A better contract was never done by the Tribe.

Very late night for you guys in the Eastern time zone. Don't know if you made it.

The game winning hit, a 17 hop, seeing-eye ground ball up the middle had me seeing flashbacks of the 1997 WS with Charles Nagy in extra innings giving up a similar hit.

Indians don't walk people. Why yesterday all of a sudden? Part of the reason is Yankees are patient veteran hitters unlike all those young overanxious swingers in the unrepresentative AL Centeral. Even more reason why the siloed season schedule did not prepare us for the postseason and gave our guys the wrong idea on how to pitch to good hitters.

That's always fun to see. It looks Giminez wins the SS race. With Arias ready to challenge him in a year or two. Or maybe Tyler Freeman.

In the game story Tito was impressed by Sam Hentges. If the 6-6 LH can improve his command he could be a bullpen terror. But of course that's a big if.

3 runs on 4 hits in 1 2/3 off Bieber. Oh oh, it's going to be a bad year

But Bobby Bradley homered and Reyes tripled so I guess we won't have to worry about the middle of the order
A Rosario singled and walked; trying to keep up with Giminez. What a battle they're having
And Arias is now up to 3-3 and a team-leading hitting streak.

Make that 5-5 for Arias.
