Lack of offense kicking in finally.

What's frustrating is that guys like Santana, Lindor and even Jose Ramirez are all underperforming this season. Franmil came through - which I thought would have been the key - but the others went away.

Franmil lasted for a while, he's cooled off; Jose has an OPS of 860ish now leading the way. Hernandez is the only steady hitter. Naquin fooled us there for awhile, the whole collection of OFs are back to being simply horrid

civ - I'm not worried about Franmil - of course we all expect he will be the kind of guy who is streaky but has numbers at the end of a season.

And we'll take that.

If they can find a way to lose, they're getting good at it.

9th inning..... Lindor ties it up with a 2 run blast only to watch the pen give up a walk, a bloop single and 2 HBPs.

Pen blows it.

Nice work by Carrasco. Bullpen was awful again but the lead was too big to lose this time.
For awhile there the pen was surprisingly effective; now it's back down to expectations. Bad time for that development!

Yeah - would have been better if they struggled earlier so that the front office knew that it was a problem when the trade deadline came and went.

I will say that often a bullpen guy can get hot (or cold) and then you ride them. So this week should be interesting.

4-0 Cleveland early. Tribe playing like a team hustling for the playoffs while Chisox playing like they've clinched.

Nice to see Josh Naylor contribute. Had to be stressful when he came over - hoping he'll settle into it.

Naylor had two doubles and a single then he left; was he hurt or just removed for defense?

Seems he was hurt. Sheesh kid can't catch a break.

Quantrill earns the job. Not sure what job, [6th starter?] but he looked good: 4 innings, 1 walk, 1 hit, 4K. Plutko stumbles through the 5th with 2 hits and a walk. We lead 1-0 on Carlos Hernandez 1st inning homer.

Naylor's not hurt badly, back in the lineup.

Ramirez MVP !!!!
