Anyway we could have the pitcher bat instead of Leon?

Right???
And don't forget not having Perez is likely not doing the pitching staff any favors either.
0 passed balls in all of 2019 is mind blowing - and the peace of mind for the pitching staff knowing they can throw whatever pitch they want and he will get it.

well kind of, the last 4 in the order remain a pretty sizeable dead hole.

both Santanas with hits, although I dont' expect much from D.
Civale Bieber are quite a pair of fellow draftees 3rd and 4th round. [Nolan Jones round 2 could make it; Plesac around round 12 will be back soon, I expect]

Indians RHP prospect Triston McKenzie is scheduled to make his MLB debut in a start Saturday against the Tigers.
McKenzie has missed large chunks of the last two seasons due to forearm and shoulder issues, but he's healthy now and was a consensus top-50 prospect not all that long ago.
The 23-year-old former supplemental first-round pick holds a 2.68 ERA, 0.997 WHIP, and 394/98 K/BB ratio in 329 career minor league innings.

He had one disaster which inflates the numbers for a reliever. Catcher interference messed one up for him lately. But he's doing OK. I think I saw our bullpen ERA is surprisingly one of the best

Alomar couldn’t reach Tito on the phone for instructions Leaves Plutko out there several hitters too long and Adam rewards him with a 7 run inning
Welcome back Mike and Zach

Exactly. The ridiculously low number of innings for relievers makes ERA a very poor stat for them.
I guy could nail down 9 of 10 saves and that one blows the ERA way up - yet who cares?
I do think inherited runners who score is the best stat for relievers.
