Well, evidently that's one mistake they made over the trade deadline, not dealing him THEN!

I guess so; but who is our next closer? Karinchak perhaps? although he needs to keep a handle on his walks

either Pleasc is getting worn out or the opposition is figuring him out; either is possible, He's over 160 innings this year; 144 last year in his first full year as a pro. Still not doing badly but not as successful; down 3-1 after 4. Indians have one hit, an rbi double by Plawecki, against Lopez who entered with ERA in the mid 5s

Plesac left them loaded. Hunter Wood cleared them off for him 6-1 sox.

Indians in he book, the Indians still have had just the one hit vs. Reynoldo Lopez. He's thrown 97 pitches, deserves a chance to finish it up.
Although I'd be happy try to see if they bullpen can return the favors our has done for them the past couple nights

This is the sort of the game in which I would have liked to see Carrasco get his home field return

Eric Haase is getting to finish up behind the plate; gets his first career passed ball out of the way; and adds his 5h strikeout to his offensive output to accompany one walk and two outs on balls in play.

My thoughts exactly. Besides though, he didn't pitch yesterday so why not throw him out an inning today?

Does anyone else feel like General Custer going into Little Big Horn about this weekend with the Twinkies?

Good to hear from you, UD. You, Rusty and any other coastal forum members were probably watching more weather reports than baseball, recently.

There's a hurricane heading to Twinkieland this weekend....unless it fizzles out.

Gotta admit, during the Sox series I thought the team had give up. Just looked defeated. Little energy or good vibes. But they fought their tails off last night.

A sweep of the Twins this weekend might wake me back up.

HB - totally understandable. I do think the team was gassed, and with good reason with all they've been through. No one would be surprised if they ran out of gas and cashed it in.

But once again, they've picked themselves back up, skeleton crew and all, and battled.

Pretty proud of the 2019 Indians, no matter what the outcome. Because the outcome is often out of your control.

The season is long and exhausting and ups and downs inevitable. But effort is not and this season's trials did not defeat our team. They are battlers.
